Tried Traction on my PC and Waveform on my Mac. Both pretty useless for me.
I've come back to this, more in hope. My guitar is connected via my THR10 - which records fine. However, I have a USB Rode microphone connected - Waveform refuses point-blank to allow both of them to operate together. It seems I can only use one USB input. That seems bizarre. Ho hum, still unable to use Waveform.
Hopeless if using more than one usb device

I run Waveform on a PC and use several USB devices simultaneously, without problems.

What type of driver are you using? ASIO, for example, doesnt let you use one more than one device at a time.wmike1503 wrote: Fri Oct 28, 2022 12:50 pm Tried Traction on my PC and Waveform on my Mac. Both pretty useless for me.

Have you confirmed your two devices actually work together in any other audio software?
Have you tried creating an aggregate device on the Mac?

Generally, if you're having USB issues, it's not the software but the system.
1. Ensure your USB cables are as short as possible and not cheaply made. USB is far more demanding than the industry admits: shorter is better, and quality counts, of course.
2. Drivers can be a big problem. Ensure you're updated, of course, but don't be afraid to change and change back.
3. Hubs in between devices and your system are critical. A cheap, four-port USB hub may be okay for printers and other peripherals, but it can be a death-blow for music production. If you can't connect directly to the system via USB (due to limited ports), a hub is fine--just be sure you have a really, really good one.
4. Waveform is particular about live switching. Make sure your devices are powered up first, before launching Waveform. If not, you can go to the Setup page and refresh your MIDI and/or audio devices. Waveform 11 and 12 will then recognize them without too much trouble after a refresh. But if they're powered up and connected before Waveform is launched, there shouldn't be any trouble getting them to work.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
