GForce Oddity 3 is here:
I have just found this in the "bargains only" thread:
50% off NEW GForce Oddity 3rd Generation
https://d-fusedsounds.com/index.php?rou ... ct_id=1023
Currently on the gforce website there's no oddity, imho they are just editing its page.
Upgrade price? sooner or later we will see...
The features are cool , these are what i wanted.
I hope they follow this path in the future, improving their instruments with modern resizable GUI and Patch browser (plus other features) where needed.

Gmedia was the 1st to do it, Oddity 1.0 being the first worthy Analog synth emulation. What sound engine improvements does 3 have over 2? Comparisons to Creamware Prodyssey?

It seems the GUI is vector based (as is SEM) so they did update the graphics but it just looks amateurish (I’m sure the sound is not !)jamcat wrote: Tue Nov 01, 2022 7:34 am Interesting.
It’s just too bad they didn’t update the graphics to look less… 2002 freeware.

I don't think the Prodyssey is/ever was the reference Odyssey emulation. It's a nice synth anyway.

The white skin doesn't look that bad, compared to the black/orange one.SebAV wrote: Tue Nov 01, 2022 8:52 amIt seems the GUI is vector based (as is SEM) so they did update the graphics but it just looks amateurish (I’m sure the sound is not !)jamcat wrote: Tue Nov 01, 2022 7:34 am Interesting.

But hey, it's resizable, that's the important news....

I'm fine with the GUI. Always prefer if the keyboard can be hidden though, saves so much space.

V3 page is there and demo available. No info on upgrade price from version 2, but this is not yet listed as a product on the main page.

How does it compare with the KORG ARP ODYSSEY?
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!
