The recent GUIs are strangely different.
SEM is crisp and clear, and nicely laid out, while OB-E is blurry for me.
The Oddity's GUI isn't blurry, but the text is small(ish) and aliased, and most importantly, the keyboard takes too much vertical space, which is also needed for the unfolded effects.
Oddity supports mousewheel, while SEM doesn't
I very much like how the demo sounds, but hesitating because of the keyboard

Weapons of choice (subject to change):
Godin Redline, Kuassa, Fuse Audio, Audiority, Roland A-500pro, Dune, Dagger, TAL, Reaper for Rock & Synthwave pleasures; Viper and FL Studio for guilty EDM pleasures

Updated, testing it out...
Sounds great, the browser is a huge win.
The UI is....well.... it looks a bit like Cherry Audio synths, has that cheap freeware energy going on. Not great.
But that said: they finally, FINALLY dropped their horrible sluggish mouse-dragging behavior on sliders that plagued, imo, the Oddity 2. Basic programming was a chore on that thing because of how sluggish the sliders were to respond to mouse movements -- I think because they used some horrific 'ramp up' behavior; total form-over-function mistake on that, very glad these sliders just respond in a fast, snappy fashion. It's much easier to swallow the Toys R Us interface knowing that it at least responds quickly and smoothly.
Some nice new presets too. Overall, good stuff, just not a nice *looking* UI.
Updates:
•the MKII UI is an improvement over the default one. I'm getting used to it pretty quick.
•unfortunately, I've had the plugin crash twice in Bitwig now, while simply changing controls on the front panel.
• the Oddity III presets are AMAZING, and the new Browser is soooo good.

I have Oddity 2 which I can't use because it won't run on my M1 macbook...
I find it a bit odd (sorry, not sorry) because there's no such issue with Imposcar 2.
Will Oddity 3 run on Apples M1 platform?
NM, I just saw the patch for Monterey...

OK, finally the upgrade from Oddity V2 to V3 worked. Cost £25.
Looking forward to test it out.

Encountered a potential bug , 2 pole filter sometimes switches to 4 pole in poly mode
Initialise the patch
Enable one osc and choose 2pole filter ( lower ) and set reso to 50 percent
Apply adsr to filter envelope , with a decaying curve
Set to poly mode , and ad envelope to vca
PLay one note and hold it (this has a medium resonance ) , play a second note while holding the first one .
Result : the second note has a huge increase in resonance , seems that the filter envelope has a cumulative effect while in polymode (edit )
It's difficult to replicate since it doesn't always happen.
This is the patch setting
Edit , it seems that the second held note automatically switches to the moog filter behind the scenes ,which explains the increase in resonance
Sound example 1-2 BUg only happens when 2 pole filter is selected , if it doesn' t appear from the first time , switch filter modes and back to 2 pole

Edit:happens in all filter modes ,sometimes the 4 pole sounds like a 2 pole
LIsten to each second note , 4 pole filter is selected but each succesive note sounds like a 2 pole
Sound example 3

I just realized that in the settings there is a setting for browser font size, which is cool. I changed it just from 100% to 110% and made it much better.
Little niggle: I wish the preset arrows were side by side for some extra room. I don't see why stack them on top in that small space. Hard using touch screen to hit the arrow you want.
