Anyone got this? Seems to be a no-brainer, but just thought to check before I open my wallet after a decent gap.

Just because there is a lot of content doesn't mean it's worth it - they seem to churn out preset packs at a very high rate but quantity doesn't always mean quality. tbh I only bought their Massive X pack but would not buy from them again, I was not impressed I'm afraid

Yeah, I agree. Always cautious these days with a lot of and cheaply priced content. It might not be bad, but I will skip it. Thanks.

On the contrary, I would say this is one of the best freebies (is it really? as I am not sure how the above voucher code came into existence) in recent times if you are interested in such drums. In fact, I came to thank fainak33 for posting it. Most people have an iLok account anyway (and know that UVI needs iLok) and once installed you could simply uninstall UVI Portal. Took less than 5 minutes from seeing the post to demoing it. Sounds great to me and well worth the little effort.

At least UVI has always been honest about using it, whereas too many other companies hide the fact they require it until after you buy it.
But always worth the reminder when a "deal" requires it.

It's definitely a nice freebie, but since it's sample-based, what makes it worthwhile for those of us (probably most of us) who already have a zillion 808 samples? Do the multisamples include every note (the 808 can do) or do they pitch shift some of them? Not having to tune the samples might be convenient. And the controls might be too. But I'd guess we don't have access to the files in a format where we could easily audition them alongside all our other 808 sounds (for example in a drum loop editor like XO or a drum editor like Bigkick, Chop Suey, etc....).

It was just a heads up for people who don't want to infect their systems with iLok or faff about with another store front.

I have an iLok account but am not installing any more iLok infected plugins and when I rebuild my studio system it will be disinfected from iLok irregardless of what plugins I'll lose.

Anyway if someone feels the same way I do about the iLok malware then don't waste your time on this freebie that's all I'm saying.

Yeah it's real easy to go to the downloads page of your account and download it, I don't use their download manager at all. Also, the Ilok is machine based so pretty painless.
