Great guitarists have 'Signature editions', how about a signature U-he midi controller?2022-11-03T00:11:22+00:00Lot's of past, present, and future hardware capabilities...and geared toward whatever CLAP might offer a hardware designer. Might as well be the first with a fulfilled wishlist on the loading docks
It could even include a 3, somewhere in the case design
The software bundle possibilities?

A midi controller that auto maps all the U-he Synths controls (or even U-he effects plugins) that can read and have indicator of current pickup value on the fly while switching devices/preset?
I bought a TouchOsc imposcar 2 controller, still have it.
It's a massive piece of gear that lives on its end in a corner.
Very high quality knobbage etc.
These days, there are touch screen based midi controllers that could sort out multiple soft synths pretty easily with graphics that can emulate the software they're hosting. They aren't cheap but neither was the controller I have.
Desk real estate is too limited to be full of dedicated controllers that can be reached ergonomically...
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.
There's nothing sacred on my desks and drives, when great or improved products are available in the world and the budget, everything is subject to replacement. Quite a few people have Arturia combo products, which might meet some definitions of a signature product. NI's controllers also enter into that space to some extent. Not counting my IK UNO, I have three midi capable keyboards, the newest is 20 years old. As a replacement should one die, or go to a grandchild, a well implemented fully populated U-he controller, perhaps with option for weighted or synth keybeds, and a clever system to unlock or install products, would certainly be justifiable and celebrated around here.
