I snagged a copy. Hope to use this, along with a decade of live recordings of various levels of rain and thunderstorms from the same place in my house's front alcove, to do a 'wind and weather' conceptual recording project. I'm sure it will end up being useful in a myriad of airy ways as well.

Hey, thank you for your support

WindChant (out now) is for wind simulation, while other SnapLab devices (available later) will cover multiple "weather" scenarios (rain, fire, etc.) too.

All derived from the same particles-collision engine, having them available as separate generators makes them easier to use and less expensive.

Sounds quite intersting (no pun intended)!
Is there plan for M1 native support at some point?

Post

On the long term there will be support for as many CPUs / OSes / Formats as possible.

Not only Apple Silicon but also Windows on ARM, barebones, Raspberry PI, etc. (in addition to the ones already supported).

Got it…
Next could be wind into a burning fire…
And of course a footstep synth. This would be scary for the foley artists…

Post

Yes indeed, a "non-multi-gigabytes-sample-based" procedural footsteps simulation would be a good idea.

Of course strictly synthesized… Samples can do anybody, but synthesized opens up for dwarfs, giants, dinosaurs and ants…

Post

I don't personally have the need for something like this, but seems it great for what it does. Good job, I'm sure film/game people will find this very helpful!
