Hello,
What are people using these days as a X/Y MIDI controller for Hive that can be assigned as a single knob or surface ?
Thanks.

I'm using a 20 year old novation remote25 with joystick and pad.
But there are some modular midi controllers like pads and joysticks available, like https://intech.studio/ . Or you just use two faders or knobs.

Thanks. So there's no such thing as a popular, simple and affordable X/Y MIDI controller, let alone a bank of 4 such controllers.

not sure about 4, but an old gamepad has two, and can be used for midi control.mevla wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 10:16 pm Thanks. So there's no such thing as a popular, simple and affordable X/Y MIDI controller, let alone a bank of 4 such controllers.

Yes but it's relying on a find of old hardware. I'm asking since I got a micro controller hardware kit that has 4 X/Y knobs included in it amongst other things. I'm wondering about a 'pad' of 4 of these knobs that fits inside a palm. A palm could pull and push all four knobs in a direction, with some degree of variation. And then adding the fingers to that and the rest of the hand allows for more variations. Since they are spring-loaded there could be a 'snapshot' button or something like that.
Might be a nice project. Would be useful for Hive and Zebra,
