Hi,
(today is my questions day ...)

Is there a way I can bypass the sustain pedal for a specific osc, otherwise the entire patch ?
(I have a lead sound I'd like to play along with a pad, but don't want the note to hold if not pressed, while I want the pad to hold).

Perhaps some sort of MIDI filter plugin before the plug-in that plays the lead? Depending on the DAW you use, you may already have such a MIDI filter device. It might let you filter out a specific MIDI CC, i.e. the one that's used for the sustain pedal.

do i understand this correct?:
you want to play, say with the left hand, the PAD with sustain
and at the same time the LEAD, say with the right hand (just an example), without sustain ?

the easiest way would be to use 2 different controller keyboards
on different midi channels (and/or ports); one with sustain the other without

another option could be to use keyboard split on the controller keyboard
this divides the keyboard range to zones
one for the PAAD the other for the LEAD
some keyboards allow to disable sustain for specific zones
(like for example my old studiologic sl880)
or others allow to use different midi channels for the sustain (arturia keystep for example)

or..., like victor said, with midi filters provided by your DAW

hth + good luck

normally that's cc64

The thing is, I dont want to separate hands : my lead is played at higher velocity only, but with the same hands.
I would have liked that Zebra could bypass the cc64 (it is able to set different values for other cc, eg. Pitchbend=0).

Hi robisme,

our plugins can't do that, I'm afraid.
Not sure if that works for your music, but you could also set up your mono lead sound (i.e. its amp envelope) to have zero sustain. You couldn't hold long notes of course, but the sound would "die down" even if you hold the sustain pedal.

you're still going to find it easier to split the patch into two and layer them in the DAW. you can use the same midi data for both but just have the lead set to only play on high velocity.
