This might be the only reason why some people should consider using a sampler. How about creating new sounds for a change!
Right now, I'm using Shortcircuit Free. And I must say (desprite being limited to just 2 poly), this soft-sampler is very interesting. With soundfonts, I can acually increase/decrease the sound quality for a change.
I'll love to try it with wav samples next. But if anything goes well within the next month, I might not need Vsampler 2.75 or sfz much longer.
BTW, the regular Shortcircuit has 128 poly. But if you're in to one-shot phrase sampling, save your money & try the free version.
