This might be the only reason why some people should consider using a sampler. How about creating new sounds for a change! :D

Right now, I'm using Shortcircuit Free. And I must say (desprite being limited to just 2 poly), this soft-sampler is very interesting. With soundfonts, I can acually increase/decrease the sound quality for a change.

I'll love to try it with wav samples next. But if anything goes well within the next month, I might not need Vsampler 2.75 or sfz much longer. 8)

BTW, the regular Shortcircuit has 128 poly. But if you're in to one-shot phrase sampling, save your money & try the free version.

This guy who sell it must be in dreamland.

VSampler 3 is the sames price, can do everything and a lot more and you get 2 CDs of soundsamples.

That sampler was design to take samples and create new sounds out of them.

But yes, that can be done with Vsampler & Kontakt. Just need to have a good imagination of what you're trying to do with that sample. 8)

So far I haven't been able to get any sound out of the thing in both my hosts.

The product is not of to a good start.

I'm already getting the sense that Shortcircuit is going to be the "underdog" sampler. The beginings remind me of all the "underdog" hosts... you know the ones people discount because they don't have every bell and whistle... meanwhile, it is a productive and efficient way of actually being creative as opposed to drooling over, and worrying about, a lame feature list.

It works great in FLS. I'll keep you posted if everything is working great in Live or not. 8)

hmm it failed to play the first soundfont I imported - not very impressive.
I'm just waiting patiently for the sampler in energy XT to have a soundfont import function.

46% undecided would suggest many are in my boat.

187EUR is not an impulse buy, lets hope there is an xmas offer, I would snap this up right away at a keener price.

hey we should ask the owner to make a group buy thing, I'd pick it up for like $75 or less... Im pretty damn poor... :(

the one problem I see is many
already have a sampler like ie: kontakt.

$129 would of seen many more sales imo.

$75 would sell many many more.
