In this video I show how to stop reverb clashes when changing chords in MTR. This technique can be used with MConvolutionMB as well. If you are worried about your reverb tails clashing with other notes in your songs check this out.

Thanks for the video Chandler. The MB versions are really useful when you want to run multiple instances in parallel. Setting it up like you showed is a great workaround. Although you might need more than two instances for long tails which can get quite CPU intensive.
You could also use the step modulator to switch automatically if all chords have the same length.
Ideally, this functionality would be implemented directly, in MTurboReverb. Having a parameter that can mapped to the sustain pedal could be another way to implement this.
P.s. There's a script in ReaPack called 'mpl_Adjust arrange grid (mousewheel).lua' that you can use to adjust your grid size. I've mapped it to ctrl+alt+mousewheel.

Thanks for the Reaper tip. I'll check that out. Hopefully in the future we can get a buffer clear button, so it will be easier to do this.

I have tried automating Designer/Panic button and it kinda works. You have to trigger it some miliseconds before the note.
And you should automate Globals/Volume too to avoid the click noise.
It is not perfect but maybe you can use this.
In FL Studio it is easy to move these fast automations as they are like "notes", I don´t know in other DAWs.

That's a great idea. I didn't realize these panic buttons could be assigned to multi-parameters. I came up with a "Kill Tail" button preset that you can copy into any multi-parameter (I recommend 64) and then automate or modulate.
The parameter modulates the Volume knob which is already used for some devices. So make sure it doesn't have any unintended side effects. You could also use the Gain knob instead, but that only goes down to -24dB.
Code: Select all
