I just read a lot of complaining from you, so I assumed you didn't like it. I'm happy to be wrong, though.

Maybe I'm just used to people with a more positive communication style who can handle disagreements in a constructive way.

Hi you all !

I don't specially agree with all the things that Shani ace has said but like it happened in a another thread i don't think that this is wrong. Some points that we often hear from new users were highlighted . From there even if we don't agree, we ought to acknowledge that this is a thing to consider and think about.

I agree with the fact that finding MPS inside MSF is not difficult once you know approximately how the grids works. But taking into account that the MSF pdf guide is not ready yet, do someone that has just started, has to go trough all the tutos videos to find this simple solution somewhere inside one of them?
the first mention of opening a synthesis block is at the end of the first modular block tuto when it's briefly said that you can open MSF inside MSF without going into details. I mean from there you can guess how to find MPS but it's easy to let it slide.( the MPS is not really a good example since it's not necessarily the first thing you'll be looking for when trying MSF but you get the point.)

I also don't think that MSF module in themselves are too complex to be understood ( excepted for Few turbo modules that may have controls with abstract names.) for me the complexity of MSF reside in the amount of controls and flexibility available. The only thing that prevent you to understand a module is your general knowledge of sound design and music tools . For the rest once you take the time to learn how multiparameters, modulation and midi settings works, everything is logical. However imo some of the features are not intuitive to find or to understand.

From what i've personally experienced with MSF i feel like it's work by layers. You don't necessarily have to know everything about MSF, music tools and sound design to be able to mainly use it . You can just learn it layer by layer depending of your utilities and then cross all those layers accumulated to obtain new '' levels '' of use if that make sense. By that i mean that we should take into account that there is probably user that find their interest into MSF that will probably never feel the need to dig all the way in. It could even be a staring point until they feel the need to make the jump, But in the meanwhile it will be to bad to discourage them with simple problems like this.

I'm not saying you don't need to put efforts to understand the MSF universe, of course it's require a minimum of learning phase , but we could definitely ease up the process.

Finally i will say that we should not dismiss those kind of feedbacks in the name of '' complexity ''. Like he said, the role of the Ui is to guide new user intuitively as much as possible and its not because we are getting used to it that the current situation is the most optimal.

( let's not forget to mention that MSf is still growing and that there is plenty of room for improvement. Also each update always brings fix to those kind of issues and for that big thanks to melda )
