If the other UAD synths are the reference, polymax will be on sale at some point.
I still don't think super 8 is as good
Is that a high sample rate in Reaktor, or standalone? I like super 8, but it's not as present sounding to me.

Just wanted to listen to this. What with the clicks and crackles (e.g. secs 11, 13, 27)? Is that the recording or is that the synth?
That's some pretty sharp hearing.Urs wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 2:36 pmJust wanted to listen to this. What with the clicks and crackles (e.g. secs 11, 13, 27)? Is that the recording or is that the synth?
(or my monitoring... but I reliably get the same clicks at the same moments)
Ah, Youtube maybe. Sheesh.
Well... demoing it seems quite a pain, even for existing UAD owners.Urs wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:15 pm I guess I'm trying to convince myself to not demo it just yet...![]()
That insight is what sparked my interest_leras wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:34 pmWell... demoing it seems quite a pain, even for existing UAD owners.Urs wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:15 pm I guess I'm trying to convince myself to not demo it just yet...![]()
In case you missed above the dev shared some insights.

If you demo, make sure you have time to demo the other two synths, as well, since you only get one chance (once you demo the Spark platform, you can’t demo again, even when something new is released). FWIW, I personally find the other two synths to be more impressive than PolyMAX.Urs wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:15 pm I guess I'm trying to convince myself to not demo it just yet...![]()
I demoed the Minimoog before and wasn't too impressed. Sounds gorgeous, but doesn't sound very realistic to me due to absence of the many little quircks and details that make a Minimoog a Minimoog for me.Uncle E wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 5:25 pmIf you demo, make sure you have time to demo the other two synths, as well, since you only get one chance (once you demo the Spark platform, you can’t demo again, even when something new is released). Correct me if I'm wrong but if you have an Apollo you can buy the synths natively.Urs wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 6:01 pmI demoed the Minimoog before and wasn't too impressed. I have an Apollo and no interest in trying thew subscription, so I guess I will miss out on the wavetable synth.
Only need to subscribe to demo... which has stopped me demoing PolyMax.Urs wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 6:01 pm I have an Apollo and no interest in trying thew subscription, so I guess I will miss out on the wavetable synth.
