Nice job with the variations. They kept up my interest throughout. I think the volume of the lead after approx. 2:18 could have been a little higher relative to the clav.
Good work

Thanks for listening and commenting. Agreed on the lead volume. I'm going to make some adjustments.

I once listened to "rev 1 Mix": I think the idea is very nice. Overall,
the mix is too queasy for me. It lacks a certain clarity that one could
actually achieve with these string instruments. Mmmhh ...

Thanks for listening and commenting. Do you think the lack of clarity is more due to the composition or the mixing?

Lovely melody, and the guitar is great.
Invigorating and lovely beat, I am enjoying this composition.
Simply a beauty!!!

Love that little moment at :20 and also that short little major chord right before the change in the intro. Cool drum breakdowns near 1:31-> as well. Very nice writing.Genetic_Junk wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 10:38 pm Variations on a cool riff: https://archive.org/download/asong2f/Au ... nal%29.mp3

The composition is great, but the mixing could be a bit clearer.Genetic_Junk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 9:55 pmThanks for listening and commenting. Do you think the lack of clarity is more due to the composition or the mixing?

I really like the harmonies - the mix sounds a bit dense sometimes - but doesn't bother me that much. Was more focused on melodies and harmonies (which are really addicting)

The lead is more distinct (louder) in the rev01 mixGenetic_Junk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 12:10 am Thanks for listening and commenting. Agreed on the lead volume. I'm going to make some adjustments.

Thanks for listening again. Glad it improved. Just a matter of moving the faders a bit on a few of the elements.seismic1 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 14, 2022 12:12 amThe lead is more distinct (louder) in the rev01 mixGenetic_Junk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 12:10 am Thanks for listening and commenting. Genetic_Junk,
Thank you for the review! Now your top mix. I also own Arturia Clavinet V (I haven't used it a whole lot; I think I'm better at 80's sounding music than 70's) also. Not that clavinet is exclusively 70's sounding. For me, your song has a bit of a prog vibe (a compliment). I think it all sounds quite good!

This put a smile on my face. That clavinet sounds great. I know it's playing lead but is it also playing chords? The guitar playing and amp is amazing basically.
