You may want to edit the post title to reflect the current state.Gadnnr wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 7:58 am Hot damn, all Exponential reverbs except for Stratus and Symphony are no longer supported. Can't say I expected that...

Hence why I'm moving to Liquidsonics Cinema Rooms

I'm weighing up my reverb options going forward. Like others here I've migrated to Liquidsonics, but haven't yet paid the big bucks for CR. In some old projects I swapped out all instances of R4 for Tai Chi.
Also like others, I never quite gelled with Neoverb, though I just read that it uses the same algos as R4 and so gave it another quick spin. I think the supposedly smart controls are less smart than R4, for instance, the visualisation for early reflections in R4 makes it easier to know what's going on. Also, the ability in R4 and Nimbus to duck the tail and not early reflections is a feature that I now consider essential, and one of the reasons why I like Tai Chi so much, and yet it's missing in Neoverb.
Phoenixverb/Nimbus still sounds great to me, and I'm unsure as to whether I can replicate the transparency and openness with other reverbs, so am considering the upgrade path to Stratus. And yet the single iLok activation is a slap in the face.
Does anyone here have the unsupported EA reverbs running on Sonoma? If they still run OK then I'll probably hold off deciding what to do for another year or so.

Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

In case you missed it, there is great thread on various forums from Exponential audio creator Michael.

I think it's still one of the best reverbs available plus since I start getting requests to mix in atmos these (3D version) are life savers.
*in the same thread someone posted Exponential Audio's videos - outstanding learning tools
Cheers

R4 and Nimbus are one of the best available reverbs imo, I still use the old versions.
Is Symphony the new name for R4 or a completely different reverb?
ok, I just noticed Symphony is the new R4.
