Hello. I'm trying to do the following in MGranularMB: an upwards glissando (in Voice 1, if possible?) and, at the same time (with the same audio input and starting at the same moment) a downwards glissando in Voice 2 (if possible?), and I am trying to accomplish this task with automation, not by modulating the pitch, and by using just one instance of the plug-in, if possible as an insert.
I'm using Logic Pro X.
I see that I can automate the "Pitch (Grains)" parameter and it works for the first voice, but I don't know how to do the other glissando with Voice 2 (which should start at the same time). The Voice 2 is enabled, but the parameters named "Pitch (Band 1 - Voice 1)" or "Pitch (Band 2 - Voice 2)" seem to have no effect when I automate them, so I am confused.

Of course, using two instances of the plug-in as sends solves the problem, but I would like to avoid doing that, if possible.

I am going to read the manual while I'm waiting for your advice…

I think you need to automate "Pitch (Band 1 - Voice 2)". Band 2 is for when you add additional bands in the crossover section.

I don't know if Logic Pro supports this, but try (ctrl+)rightclick on the knob you want to automate. There might be an option to show its track envelope which makes it much easier to find the right parameter.

Thank you, but no… it doesn't seem to work as I would expect, here, even with "Band1 - Voice 2".
I'm missing something.

Does moving the knobs manually give you the result you want? Do the right knobs move with the automation? I tried it in REAPER and it seems to work fine, but I don't really know what you want. I'm just guessing here.

My aim is simply to hear the initial note (a plucked instrument, single note) "splitted" into two voices, one moving upwards and the other moving downwards at the same time, with equal volume.

I found it, problem solved! I use only Voice 1. I create two bands, using the "Parallel" crossover modality, then I automate "Pitch (Band 1 - Voice 1)" creating a glissando in one direction and I also automate "Pitch (Band 2 - Voice1)" creating a glissando in the opposite direction, then I set the right volume for each of the two bands, or, better, I automate "Gain (Band 1 - Voice 1)" and "Gain (Band 2 - Voice 1)". Done!
I'm glad that the Parallel crossover modality for the bands exists.
Thank you for your kind help!

Weird. You should have gotten the same result by automating "Pitch (Band 1 - Voice 2)", but I'm glad you found a solution. The parallel crossover is really useful.

Would love to hear a sample of your results. Sounds very interesting what you try to do :)

I tried, but nothing was happening. Maybe the parameters that are linked to a band are active when at least one voice has at least two bands? I don't know, just trying to figure out. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Or maybe there is a glitch in automation with Logic. Anyway, it's working now.

I didn't save the sound sample. It was just a test to check if I can use MGranularMB to make granular synthesis the way I would like: sound particles, sound clouds, continuous glissandos, "swarms of sounds"… the usual classical way, you know, Xenakis style, so to speak. But it was just a technical test for a future composition and I didn't save the result.

That's what it looks like for me with a single band:

Strange. Today (after a reboot of my Mac) it's working also with the method you are using. It works!
But I am really sure that it wasn't working yesterday.
There is a reason, probably: yesterday I was starting from my own "user default" saved state of the plug-in, while today I performed a "full reset" of the plug-in and started from its own default state. There was something different in my "user default" state, that was interfering.
Anyway, it's working also with this simpler method, now (using just two voices, and not two parallel bands in one voice).
Thank you again.
