Shortcircuit...

I'm gonna shamelessly plug shortcircuit here. I've been twiddling with it for the past few hours and I'm in LOVE. It gave me the same feeling I got when I tried tracktion the first time. I wouldn't be surprised if many T users found it appealing.. It's like putting T's sampler on steroids, but maintaining the simplicity. Anyway... the link is floating over there in the news area.

Mod,
This look interesting, I see that the download (or Shortcircuit Free) is an .exe file.
Can you tell me what the install does?
(I much prefer zip files, with a readme, before I install anything new).
The full version is 187 euros though (including VAT).
TIA

It just installs in into your vst dir... I dunno whatsup with devs thinking they need installers for VSTs. It's so much easier to just get a dll.. but I digress. Beyond that, it's been working nicely thus far. The price is a bit on the steep end, but I can see using this free version for a bit with drums.

For what it is, 150eu is a steal. Thanks to the dollar being a junk currency that doesn't work out especially cheap for us, but compared to the competition it is still good value IMHO.ModuLR wrote:The price is a bit on the steep end,
Personally, I think I may have to call some favours in on some UK friends, as they can buy this for next to nothing.

the free version's just limited to 2 note polyphony i think.. which makes for a great demo.

Sorry to disturb your enthusiasm...
I accidentaly stepped in to the beta-test program of shortcircuit some weeks ago. (When the first pre-release was announced here at KvR)
Wasn't impressed too much - already removed it from my setup.
But maybe it's not the way I work with samples!?

... i have vsampler3 but VERY rarely use it ...
... i have sfz+ and only use it rarely for playing a few soundfonts ...
... i have slifty and LOVE it (but it rarely finds a way into tracks TBH) ...
... ive tried the kontakt demo a few times and HATE it ...
... havent even tried halion - it just looks bad to me ...
... have been playing with shortcircuit free on and off all day - some cash is probably heading in the direction of the full version shortly ...
