Guitar is my Fender Strat with a Seymore Duncan HotRails stack pickup in the lead slot. For both the chunky rhythm part (tuned to an open C) and the solos (tuned to drop D) I plugged straight into a SansAmp GT2 amp-sim pedal which then went straight into the board and from there right into the computer. Also trotted out the good ol' CryBaby wah pedal on the second solo, with some delay on both solos courtesy of Live 4's ping-pong plugin and some octave pitch-shifting near the end of the last solo courtesy of tbt's (RIPe-modic wrote:@Har, which guitar are u using and which amp?
The bass part was played on my 10-string Chapman Stick, plugged straight into a SansAmp Bass Driver DI amp-sim pedal and again straight into the board/computer. However, I also used a combination of the Guitifier amp-sim plugin & Bram's H20 compressor plugin while tracking into Live 4 for that psuedo-Korn-style rumble, and the Timeworks EQ while mixing in SONAR.
Some additional fun was had, BTW, using Live 4's Warp feature to make both the Stick bass and rhythm guitar parts inhumanly tight with Krim's synth-bass sequences...kinda like quantizing for audio.
