Guitar is my Fender Strat with a Seymore Duncan HotRails stack pickup in the lead slot. For both the chunky rhythm part (tuned to an open C) and the solos (tuned to drop D) I plugged straight into a SansAmp GT2 amp-sim pedal which then went straight into the board and from there right into the computer. Also trotted out the good ol' CryBaby wah pedal on the second solo, with some delay on both solos courtesy of Live 4's ping-pong plugin and some octave pitch-shifting near the end of the last solo courtesy of tbt's (RIP :( ) Octave12B plugin.

The bass part was played on my 10-string Chapman Stick, plugged straight into a SansAmp Bass Driver DI amp-sim pedal and again straight into the board/computer. However, I also used a combination of the Guitifier amp-sim plugin & Bram's H20 compressor plugin while tracking into Live 4 for that psuedo-Korn-style rumble, and the Timeworks EQ while mixing in SONAR. :D

Some additional fun was had, BTW, using Live 4's Warp feature to make both the Stick bass and rhythm guitar parts inhumanly tight with Krim's synth-bass sequences...kinda like quantizing for audio. ;) I played the parts pretty tightly on their own, but to make it work with the feel of the tune I wanted to get it even more so, and using the Warp feature to lock the notes right onto the grid worked great for this. The two solos I pretty much just winged, though, and left the timing as it was (which is probably why they sound so sloppy ).

Funny thing is, I can somehow imagine the sound of his voice working with this... :D

(actually, I always thought he would sound great in a really heavy musical setting...imagine the Depeche tune "Rush" from SOFAD as played by, say, Helmet... ;))

Har - Have you ever thought about going into 'gay porn'? Because you've definately got some BALLS on you! We're taking TESICALE MUCHO GRANDE! :-o I heard the intro stuff while at Synapse, and it was funky and all - but then I caught your soloing after... Holy frig eh?

Pretty good stuff you guys. I commented to Krim this made me think of all levels of Ministry wrapped into one, with a sprinkle of newer King Crimson. Tres cool! :hihi:

You only need to listen to Linkin Park to hear that, which is kind of what this reminds me of [but maybe its just that the synth sound is very close to the one in Numb. The track sounds great until that f**king 303 comes in and ruins the whole feel at about 1:00. A world of possibilities and we have to put up with that shite. At least Har manages to drown it out for most of the track. Production is pretty good although I can't make out the kick through most of it. Would I buy the album? Maybe, but I would have to listen to the rest of it in the shop first.
