Even after updating, mine only updated the M1 and Mono/Poly. I had to log in to KORG ID, head to my downloads, and change the filename of the link on the WaveStation to get get v2.4. The Software Pass would NOT see a newer version available, and the downloads in my KORG ID account are all 2 or 3 versions behind.. KORG really needs to up their software game and get it straightened out. I own three of the synths and get NO deal if I decide to update to the whole collection. Those three synths were not cheap on their own.

The VST3s still aren't really VST3s either. If you remove the VST2's after you install, the VST3 versions break and stop working.

Except for the 3 new synths which seem to be VST3 only.

I don't believe that's true. The VST3s work for me without VST2 dlls available.

Is Polyphony the only difference between Prophecy and Z1?

On Windows maybe, but not here on the Mac. Removing the VST2s causes the VST3s to open up in Cubase 12 with a bunch of generic controls (no GUI) and no sound. I'll try running the uninstaller and starting from scratch but on the Mac at least, they've been this way since the VST3s were released.

Actually such an rather boring upgrade. Feeling that the time of "complex" programming in the Korg team is in the past, along with release of first series of LC. Pass.

The VST3 plugins for the legacy synths do not have working GUIs although they were installed along with the VST2 plugins.

No, the Z1 has a few more algorithms not present in the Prophecy like the Electric Piano and Organ.

Has anyone tried the microKORG aprpeggiator.

I can't find a way to sync to host. There is a 'key sync' button, but it doesn't sync the arp to host.
I can't believe they have overlooked that.

And the link to the manual comes up with page does not exist.

EDIT
I found there is a sync to host option hidden in the global settings, but it's disabled in demo mode.

I kinda wish they would have done the EA-1 and ER-1 as a combo. Or wish they did the EMX.

I know a Korg Karma is highly unlikely due to software licensing or whatever… but please Korg.

I’m super happy with the Triton Extreme minus the filter GUI.
