Until when is the intro price applicable? I am planning for a couple of Nexus4 Expansions first, so would be nice if there was a sufficient time to decide and get it next month or so if really needed.
A demo version would certainly help in decision making. Any plans for that?

Well, I'll try to see if I can answer that. With most synths, when I'm using it, it generally takes some amount of work to make it sound as good as I can make it. EQ is part of it, the right amount of delay, a great reverb, etc. all goes in to that. I looove vanguard, but it needs some extra tlc to make it shine and get it to hit right. Some synths just require a bit more work to make them sound modern or good. If you take away all effects from it, most vsts will just sound plain. So it make sense to add some of these things in to the vst itself. Having an EQ in the vst can help preset creators EQ so the player (me) doesn't have to do that extra bit of work. Of course I can, and do, but its nice to have it there ready to use. Even better if you can lock the EQ. As, in my opinion, synths have their own EQ signature.fisherKing wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 6:03 pm every DAW i've ever encounted has EQ... and reverb, delay. etc. not sure why it would 'make more sense' to have it in the plugin...![]()

Damn this thing sounds really good. Some of the presets are harsh and digital, but some are super fat and warm. Completely has it's own sound.

i dunno. i never met a synth sound i didn't want to tweak (in the plugin, with external eq, or a compressor, or reverb... etc). besides, if you tweak the eq, you're still doing that 'extra bit of work', whether in the plugin or externally.commodore wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 6:32 pmWell, I'll try to see if I can answer that. still i get that you'd like to save the preset with your eq, effects, and that's reasonable. i know that if i need to do that, i can just save it in logic with everything (the synth preset with external effects). so.. i hear what you're saying

The company swallowed the taxes for me in the EU. Did FigBug add to cart and attempt to checkout?

Yeah, there's definitely something special about that saw wave...
V1s original downfall was that awful reverb they drown everything in. I turned it off one day and damn, if Vanguard wasn't a really good sounding VA.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

Sorry for asking again!
Does it have NKS support?

I noticed that too going through the V1 factory banks. There's an awesome "global off" feature, on V2 anyway, that keeps the module off as you change presets, so you can just stick your own reverb after it and run through dry presets. Definitely improves things.syntonica wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 8:01 pm V1s original downfall was that awful reverb they drown everything in. I don't see it mentioned on the site, so gonna assume no? If you have an acct, shoot their support a ticket and ask to be sure.Agitator wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 9:13 pm Sorry for asking again!

i've been playing with it for a bit (this is my first time with vanguard, never used V1). it's... good, fun. simple. lots of good sounds to start with.
i was inspired to make some actual.... what's it called??... music with it, always a good sign.
i have enough 'modern' & 'cutting edge' synths, so i appreciate this. maybe i'll burn out on it after a bit, but like it right now. plus, happy that that fan runs silently

pretty much 2300 old presets and 136 new presets with new skin for £80, think you better get some other second hand vst or something on BF sale cheaper, unless you hardcore ancient V1 old synth lover.
