Odyssey looks pretty sharp on windows here, but tbh I don't remember it every being blurry.
I have 27" 4k monitor, so I must scaled it to either 1440p or 1080p. If I use the scaled option, it is very blurry while of course it is very sharp if it is not scaled, so it is not Hidpi friendly like other synths (still also Legacy Cell has the same problem).

Anyway, now it seems they have fixed this problem in Odyssey in Mac, and to be honest, I mostly use my M1 Mini for music making and everyday browsing, so not complaining that much as Windows is the backup machine for me now!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I noticed that Kaoss pad has pretty good midi connection and will respond to a joystick - seems like the prefect thing in lieu of the original touchpad. Would be perfect use of my Wavestate as a controller. And that thing where it learns a midi note as the origin/start point for where the FX are set - nice idea. I really like the idea of that...just doesn't seem like 199 dollars-worth of good.

Yikes very disappointing. Oh well.

But not resizable?
Nope. Unfortunately the size is still fixed.

You wouldn't notice unless you have a high res display. It was really obviously low res on my 5K iMac.

More like the other way around , magnus makes no secret that microtonic took inspiration from the electribe r.
The ommission of ringmod( later crossmod on the metal mk2’s ) on the korg vst is a downer.

Copped the opsix, wavestate (since these were both below the $100 barrier I was waiting for, they're not part of Korg Collection), and Korg Collection V4. Only had the chance to mess with MicroKorg so far, but it absolutely RIPS. Sounds different from other VA's, my guess is because they had low processing power and weren't all using variations of the same stock algorithms, they were forced to find innovative solutions. Very unique compared to most software VA's.

On to Electribe, opsix, and wavestate.

I sold my electribe and kaoss pad long ago but still have my hardware microKORG. Great VA synth. For $99, it’s a no brainer for me to upgrade from version 3.

Bought Collection4 and wavestate and opsix.
My experiences:

1) Wavestate : Don't let you choose where to install. The plugin is installed and found by Reaper and Cubase. I will check this later.
2) Opsix: When not installed in the default folders Cubase did not find the plugin. Anyway OPSIX CONSTANTLY CRASHES IN REAPER AND CUBASE.(On Win 11) Choose a preset play some notes, activate the sequencer, play some notes - CRASHES BADLY. Maybe I should revert the version to a previous one. SHAME.

Later I managed to play longer in FL Studio without crash, and also Reaper and Cubase..... I don't know what where those crashes right after installing the plugin and loading in Cubase and Reaper. I will investigate these.. .. maybe there's something with a full plugin scan I did...

When you say wavestate doesnt allow you to choose where to install. Do you mean data or plugin?
You can use symlinks to put the data wherever and Korg will allow you to move it without the symlink in a future update. ( though i thought this was already possible)

Almost all KORG software want you to choose an APPLICATION DIRECTORY, and a PLUGIN DIRECTORY.
Opsix and wavestate should do the same...

Wavestate doesn't seem to have functionality for saving "favorite" presets. Is this right?

Yes and no. It doesn't have a favorite system in the way most other synth browsers do, but you can save a preset with a category of 'Favorite'. It means you've duplicated that preset, but at least you end up with a favorite list.

Hm, KaossPad and Electribe seem to be lot of fun... The weakest addition actually is MicroKorg, in my opinion. Lacks of Radias or MicroKorg XL features, a.k.a. too basic for a VA. Maybe because they are still selling the MicroKorg XL+.... Radias/MicroKorg XL has as additions: Comb filter, 2 filters, various really nice waveshaping stuff..

MicroKorg is still available from Thomann at least. I think it has been in production for 20 years and is one of the best selling synths of all time. It makes sense to include it as a "modern classic" even though it isn't terribly interesting in terms of features or sound. I agree Radias would be a lot cooler in VST form. Unfortunately I think it was a bit of a flop commercially even though it seems like an interesting synth, so it's doubtful that Korg would want to revisit it.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care
