What music are your writing? Whats on offer may or may not suit your purpose.
Best 'deal' though currently is The Ton - historically its been 3 libraries for £100, but currently showing as £84 - decent offering this year too.

Check out the Black Weekend Core & Pro bundles too if you have some cash to splash, otherwise, I've seen most of them cheaper previously.

I've been using the Spitfire orchestral stuff included with the latest versions of Ableton Suite to layer into techno tracks:

I want to spend just enough money to get the free Aperture Tape Symphony

I'm leaning toward Mercury, Aperture The Stack, and maybe the Ton?

Post

Maybe look up some of the Evolutions libraries for that kinda stuff too. Mercury is a good shout. I was underwhelmed with the Aperture Stack demo but its a cool concept and could work well for techno. Ton is a good deal, but would you use it?

If your spending for the sake of it to get the freebie, its worth noting last years freebie (Aperture The Stack) came onto the webstore for general sale not long after.

I think I would. I've been using the Ableton Brass Quartet a lot and wishing I had something with a fuller sound. The others I would definitely use, like the String Evolutions.

The glitches are over, so The Ton is back to £99 and the others that inadvertently had an extra 15% or so off are now at the correct price.
When you spend £249 / $299 / 249€, you get this weird thing for free:

Speaking of glitches.

There was a MAJOR glitch on Sweetwater where the Sugarbytes bundle was on sale for 79 instead of 399!

It's back to 399 now but it worked while it was at the wrong price.

You can connect a class complaint interface (no driver) to your iPhone or iPad.
If you're on macOS, there's Apple IDAM.
There's iConnectivity hardware.
There's also apps like audiomux (hit or miss, many struggle with it) and open source options for doing MIDI over Wi-Fi, bluetooth, etc. (latency potential).

EDIT: I forgot to mention Ableton Link, which isn't just for Ableton anymore - https://www.ableton.com/en/link/
Thanks!!! Ableton Link seems perfect. Guess it's time to switch to Bitwig.

Dumbquestions wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 7:09 am Has anyone here ever heard of (or purchased from) a website called plugados.com? They have slate trigger 2 there for $49, but I’ve never seen plugados mentioned here, and i haven’t seen trigger go on sale yet for BF anywhere else.
We will have it for sale for $49 (plus discounts in cart) in about 10 hours:

I'm only seeing discounts in cart for the expansions.

At least in euros, the cheapest would be directly from Softube, €38.70 with the code BLACKWEEKEXTRA. Pluginboutique shows €44.43 for me.
