A software Kaoss pad is very tempting and the price is pretty good

Korg really should have chosen other instruments.
Korg has a most extraordinary history.
For example, a 01 wfd , MS 2000, Radias, Z1 would certainly have been much more relevant.
Who knows a surprise soon?
It would certainly be worth more than an expenditure of 300 euros.
Because poor despite everything for a version 4.
Really disappointing.
Compared to a V Collection, not photo.
Come on, Mr. Korg, you really have to react and quickly.

more relevant?
The microkorg is probably one of the successful hardware synthesizers of all time, while “nobody“ cared for the Radias.
And the Radias certainly has a tonal character to it that many disliked. But of course it is unique because of that.
Mass appeal wise, the MK/MS2000 are the way more obvious choice

Matter of taste for Microkorg.
I'm not saying bad, but I had one at the time and it was quickly dethroned by a Novation.
Why the Micro X was a very nice machine too.
Instead of the Microkorg, the R3 was far more impressive.

Maybe the Triton gets the Z1 update one day.

(IMO) the Microkorg was the DX7 of the early 2000s. I know, the analogy isn't a 100% (mostly because the Korg was - relatively speaking - a lot cheaper).
This plugin version is actually a lot closer to an MS2000 - so easier to make your own sounds.
I'm still not sure if I want to upgrade for 99 euro... I really enjoyed demo'ing the new plugins - but... (you know, I don't really *need* them)

AFAIK, the Prophecy plugin isn't very different from the Z1 hardware. Can you list the differences?OrionAlpha101 wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 5:44 pm even though the Z1 is missing i like the stuff a lot .

Yes, Korg collection is composed of their best selling synths at the time. And microkorg is best seller synth of all time of all brands it seems obvious it’s in the collection as is the kaoss padFapFilter wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 4:52 pm more relevant?

It’s a great and fun little box. Still kicking myself for selling my ER-1. They sell for twice as much now.gentleclockdivider wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 1:18 amMore like the other way around , magnus makes no secret that microtonic took inspiration from the electribe r.
The ommission of ringmod( later crossmod on the metal mk2’s ) on the korg vst is a downer.
