This is maybe a silly request, but, could anyone who already got Vanguard 2 maybe post a sound example of a filter sweep (from fully open to fully closed to fully open again) of a single sawtooth oscillator, with no resonance, 50% resonance, 75% resonance, and then 100% resonance? In total absence of a demo, I find this always a good impression of what the filter sounds like. Just the default selected lowpass filter will do, doesn't have to be all filter types.

So I guess, refx has the code, and Markus couldn't release his own updated version of vanguard anymore? import samples and wavetables, dang, that be crazy

I got the code of Vanguard1, but releasing an own version of it would not be fair towards Mike and would confuse the customers.

RayBlaster is very strong with formants. Icarus2 also got a wide variation of formant synthesis and Phase Distortion options. Unlike PlastiCZ it is not limited to sine waves and works with any waveform.
Check out PhaseDist Saw, PhaseDist Squ, and Harmonic Key as a synthesis mode.

New "old skin" much better for me personally I will download that when I get a chance. Brighter and fresher on the eyes... more positive. It'll feel like I am driving a classic now.

Now we just need the "thin" reverb I am going to be going thin all over the sounds personally, if it comes. I want to go right back in Time, Time, Time.... although that would be delay.

I'm really interested in the synth. I don't have anything against sounding digital, as long as it's a good digital sound. The lack of a demo makes this a pig in a poke thing though. I won't spend 79 € not knowing what I buy.

Are you fond of any of the Tone2 synths?

Yes, definitely. Electra2 was the one I found the best sounding.

I wonder if Vanguard is really that close to them though. I listened to some demos of version 1 and 2, and found that they don't seem to have that "extra cheese" kind of thing the Tone2 synths have sonically. Which is good, actually, because, especially on Firebird, I found it was too extreme. I hear it on Icarus as well though. Electra2 seemed to be the most neutral, while still having character.

yup. pretty much first thing i do with a new filter module is sweeps using full cv pushing everything as far as it will go.
great way to get a quick notion of where a filter will work in future

The classic skin is much better for my eyes but I'd like to do a few tweaks here and there.

Does anyone where (or if) the skin files are stored? I've looked everywhere but don't see a skin or resources folder that might contain the skin files. Perhaps they are wrapped up in the .dll but it would be nice to have access to the files for customizing.
