My problem is that I'm struggling to learn to use it! Are there any good tutorials, i'm not finding the one at the CA page meets my needs. I'm rather lost
You could study the original manual...

Hi TJ, I'm also learning this synth for this month's OSC. I found the original patch book here.

Hope it helps even though a lot of then exist as presets it helps to follow these patches to help learn it, I've been having lots of fun with this so far.

I don't know which one is closer to the original, but I like the sound and features of CA2600 better.
i9-10900K | 128GB DDR4 | RTX 3090 | Arturia AudioFuse/KeyLab mkII/SparkLE | PreSonus ATOM/ATOM SQ | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Reaper | Renoise | FL Studio | ~900 VSTs | 300+ REs

CA2600 sounds really cool, but I always miss the analog noise

Is there a key latch switch I'm missing?
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

you can lock the sustain using it's own QWERTY keyboard if that's the effect you're after, note will play until another is pressed (assuming a mono patch)? Or obviously just bypass the VCA if you want permanently droning goodness.

Not sure if it's possible with a midi input though. I use inbuilt fx in Reaper for this so haven't investigated.

No, it's probably my inexperience with this type of synth (trying to learn it!)
There's a great patch called 'Modulator' that continually plays, but I only want my Cubase midi to trigger it.

For that kind of thing I use insert piz heres ancient Midi Hold plug. Press a key and it holds till you press it again. Just remember what you've pressed as there's no visual indicator, can get messy. :)

Uses the default GUI but simple enough, still works etc.

I also mentioned this in another section of KVR:
You can get CA2600 as a free gift if you buy something from Plugin Boutique. For instance, Union is only $5 at the moment, so you can get both for that amount.
