I thought getting the old code to run in a new DAW was the whole point? Seems like a weird thing to complain about.

Some wavetables
Reverb
100 presets
Same 20 year old algorithm
For 80 eur thats a money grab. Shame on refx.

I see it as vibes for dollars..
I have not had any chance to dig in yet but I know this is going to be nice I am pretty sure of it. I never owned V1 though did hear a lot about it. It is a bit pricey even on BF deal but it depends a bit on how much fun you think it will be. £80.00 can be gone on one night out.
I have some idea of the sounds I am going to try and make already. I just hope noise is one of the oscillator options. edit : just saw (pardon the pun) it does on the osc drop down on the video.
Depends how much you want it and what potentials you may have for it. It hit at the right time for me. I am going back in Time, Time, Time
Hope they sort V1 verb option algo out... hope there is no issue with someone who wrote it
and does not want their code in V2.

In the NI sale? Because, that's the only occasion you will have ever been able to buy Hive for that price. It's 149 € regular pricing.
Well, if you put it that way, yes, you get more mileage out of Hive for the money. I think the price of Vanguard is pretty reasonable though, comparing to other synths.

I skipped Hive myself so far, I love U-He but Hive was not for me. Taste driven somewhat with synths.
Just to add I updated the skin as we all know it will be more vintage sounding with the original or close to.
Looks nice, I was expecting to see a card on the cloud app with the classic skin, but could not. So I ran the plug in then refreshed activation or did something similar on the app on the menu you will work it out and then the Classic skin becomes available in the plug in skin menu.

no it's not reasonable
but Surge Xt is Free and is much better...Vital too
also Ana 2 (actually 48€) offer more in term of everything compared to V2

Arguable. If you mean more features, then, yes. Surge XT's sound is not my cup of tea though.Clem4 wrote: Fri Nov 25, 2022 10:29 pmyep ni sale...chk071 wrote: Fri Nov 25, 2022 9:06 pmIn the NI sale? I think the SurgeXT sound completely depends on the osc settings, the filter etc. It can sound like early 2000 vsti, but also like a high quality workstation or analog emulation...

2.0.3 is out that should fix the weird loading issues people were seeing.

I could be wrong as I still have not had a proper go, but watched lots of old Vanguard1 videos etc. I think Vanguard is a sound thing, not a features thing. It is clear it could be missing things one might expect to see in 2022. Limitations can actually be useful as well as a hindrance.
