Seriously - I believe there are 20 trimmers on each of the voice cards, along with various other trimmers, so I suspect every CS-80 sounds vastly different.
I assume the tonal difference between two well tuned CS-80's is much less than the diffs between the emulations. :D

Was late so I didn’t try remapping, but did anyone else have this?
I'll try it out today with my Hydrasynth.

Yeah, very nice. You really get into the ballpark of the original soundtrack. Congrats!

I watched a video interview with Dan @Cherry and he explained that the only MIDI mapping to the virtual touch strip is via Pitch Bend. That was by design.

The only way to actually use the original touch strip feature on the GX-80 is either with a mouse or a touch-enabled screen.

Could explain why I got weird things happening when I tried using the real touch strip on my Hydrasynth.

Are you safe?

Looks like I'm going to have to breakout my CME Xkey 25 and set it up in polyphonic aftertouch mode, just to see what happens with the GX-80. The aftertouch is a bit sensitive on the Xkey with the chiclet-style keybed so I'm not expecting a lot. But it might be interesting...

Yeah I did post that I sussed out the problem. Turns out the other problem I have is Kontakt thing rather than the GX-80 (well Cherry Audio say their controller works OK with it) so that's that.
I'll just play with the white and black things that are closest to me when I'm sat at my music desk.

Grum.

I guess the white noise on the demo is random, but there have been two times now in my 45 minutes or so of demo'ing that it lasted longer than 90 full seconds.

A little overkill IMO.

Enjoying it otherwise and if I do purchase will disappear.

It took me less than 90 seconds with the demo to decide the GX-80 was a must-have here!!! I wasn't planning to bite since I already had the Arturia CS-80 V4, but was just curious...

Very nice track.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

Nice! I’ve listened to it several times.

Hi, asked same question on cherry forum but anyone know how the get this vibrato effect as heard at the end of the elp pirates intro? (GX-1) type sound.
I have the actual brass sound more or less but cannot figure this.
its at 1:34

So, just to see what's what, I'm disappointed with this one. It's got that muted high end like old Arturia stuff used to have. Once second in and I could just hear that dull osc sound when you initialize the patch. Pass. I feel like Charlie Brown going to kick the football every time I demo a Cherry Audio plugin.
