I assume the tonal difference between two well tuned CS-80's is much less than the diffs between the emulations.

I'll try it out today with my Hydrasynth.WatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 9:09 am Was using my Hydrasynth to play the GX-80 last night and it sounded epic, especially when I blended it with the hardware synth’s audio, but I found some weird default CC map in place that meant after touching the Hydra ribbon for the first time it affected the panning so when not touching the ribbon from then on all output was panned hard left.
Was late so I didn’t try remapping, but did anyone else have this?
That was a joy to listen to and watch.Mike Martin wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:29 pm This is the demo I made using the built-in presets I also created.
Yeah, very nice. You really get into the ballpark of the original soundtrack. Congrats!Mike Martin wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 3:29 pm This is the demo I made using the built-in presets I also created.

I watched a video interview with Dan @Cherry and he explained that the only MIDI mapping to the virtual touch strip is via Pitch Bend. That was by design.Grumbleweed wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 9:19 am I couldn't map the touch strip to my Kontakt midi controller as there is no midi learn for that feature (well I couldn't make it pop up).
Yeah I did post that I sussed out the problem. Turns out the other problem I have is Kontakt thing rather than the GX-80 (well Cherry Audio say their controller works OK with it) so that's that.zzz00m wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 5:40 pmI watched a video interview with Dan @Cherry and he explained that the only MIDI mapping to the virtual touch strip is via Pitch Bend. The only way to actually use the original touch strip feature on the GX-80 is either with a mouse or a touch-enabled screen.
