Arranger ppqn resolution for audio

Greetings all,

I tried Tracktion a long long time ago and whilst I'm pretty happy with Ableton for doing clip stuff I'm averse to its arranger page. Not wanting to go back to Cubase I'm liking the look of Waveform so I fancy delving in again and have a couple of questions if I may

1. I understand MIDI in Waveform is on a 960 ppqn basis but does this also apply to the audio event positions on the timeline?

It's quite a draw to know by tick exactly where everything is placed. I use a Sequentix Cirklon so for nudged sixteenth notes I can just multiply by 5 (Cirklon is 192 ppqn) where things should line up. Notwithstanding the vagaries of sync etc I know but it just works with my OCD. Plus I can just double for my Fantom at 480 ppqn.

2. Is Tracktion 12 hot to trot in terms of bugs vs 11.5 ?

There seems to be a few nice updates in 12 but I got stung so so many times updating Cubase to the latest and greatest that now I generally stick to the last x.5 version of software.

i like version 11.2.22
there is good sound to beautify the back and the panorama

i expect paid-for waveform 13 in february or march 2023 but the free version will be some months later.

So I installed Waveform and although you can have it snap to ticks (1,2,5 at a time etc) holding cmd (on Mac) will place audio with finer resolution than 960 ppqn.

Still, that's useful to me. I can just zoom to 5 ticks snap and anywhere I place stuff theoretically should be replayed as if the sequencer was running at 192 ppqn
