Undo Function In Waveform 12 Doesn't Apply to Vol and Pan -Work around? "Undo" Plugin?

Okay, I realize this is a long shot, But -The lack of undo function for vol and pan in Waveform 12 is killing me. With the way I work, I am constantly "doing" and "undoing". Barring the devs making this very SANE and NECESSARY change, I don't think there's much I can do -unless anybody knows a work around?? Kind of hard to think of a work around for an "undo" function, but thought I'd at least try because I'd like to start spending the majority of my time in Waveform, but this ONE LITTLE thing has me going back to Reaper...
Is there... an undo "plugin"?? -Or, perhaps -I did notice that the undo function does apply to most plugins, so if I could control the vol and pan of each track with a particular plugin, then that could work? (*EDIT -This is actually NOT true -I loaded up a few VST 3's the other day and changed the paramers of those plugins, then pressed "undo" -All that happened was that "undo" "undid" the plugin -Meaning it removed the plugin from the track. So, yeah... Still baffled how anyone uses this program to mix)Ugh... what a pain...
I'm desperate here, guys...
I suppose I should add that I am talking about the volume fader and the pan knob on each individual channel -I am recording live audio with microphones -This is not midi...
*EDIT *EDIT -With the "undo" function not working for Volume Fader and Pan Effect AND not working for plugin parameters, Waveform is basically non-functional for me as a mixing program and is essentially reduced to an audio editor. A true shame because many other things in it are EXCELLENT -Auxing, bussing, automation and editing/ comping are all STELLAR in Waveform... So depressing... If any devs are reading this please feel free to reach out -Actually, no -Please reach out. As is, I cannot consider Waveform a serious mixers/ composers DAW...
Thanks.

I use version waveform_64bit_v11.2.22
Vol and Pan undo works good! I don't like version 12
11.2.22 the version is excellent and there is no crash if correct and orderly vst and vsti

Unfortunately, I don't think that the undo function covers PLUGIN parameters, as well... So, even though it's better, I wouldn't be able to mix as free as I want with it.
Soundbridge is a free DAW that is a little wacky to use (i'm still figuring it out), but the undo function covers ALL parameters -including volume, panning AND plugins. I'd like to get better at using that Daw, soo...

Bandlab is better than Soundbridge in my understanding

Man -All Cakewalk does is make my computers crash! Haha! Doesn't work on any of my machines -Otherwise, I'd be in agreeance with you... Although, now that I think of it, I'm not sure how stellar Cakewalk's undo/ redo feature is...

I found Cakewalk's MIDI routing and getting it out to an audio interface to be overly convoluted. A MIDI track is tied to an audio track; but not really and not always; but sometimes it goes somewhere else....
It was nice, though, in that some of the built-in sounds were decent (bass, drums, piano, strings) and it had real notation that you could actually print out... but that's not enough to put up with the convoluted routing.

I never even got that far. I watched a tutorial and then stared at my DAW and was like "Yeah, this ain't gonna happen..."Peter Widdicombe wrote: Sun Dec 04, 2022 2:49 am I found Cakewalk's MIDI routing and getting it out to an audio interface to be overly convoluted. Lol!!
Reaper and Waveform are king of routing, imo... Starting to mess around with Soundbridge more, myself, but that DAW is a little confusing, too... Not as bad as some, but still... Kinda cool that they offer 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Eh, I dunno...

Ardour is really cool. Actually, hold on -I remember thinking it was really cool for a while, but then recently when I opened it I just couldn't figure it out -Was really tough to navigate. All these crazy windows were opening up everywhere and I couldn't even figure out how to arm a track to record. Maybe I had it in some weird "mode", or something...

I concur. Ardour is very cool but it is really hard to master. Too many menus and choices. The latest version has limited support for tempo maps for the time being, compared with older versions, due to a new audio engine overhaul.
When I tried Waveforms, wow, what a difference!
However, now I'm a bit worried reading the different posts here about unsolved bugs, inestabilities, kind of missing support, etc.

I dumped Cubase years ago for being riddled with menus and menus within menus within menus. I'm very much in favour of right-click menus that can be summoned when the mouse is over an object.
Also the design was horrid. Cubase was like cartoons such as He-Man & The Masters of the Universe which tried and badly failed to look like reality and Tracktion was like the mega-slick and minimalist Warner Bros cartoons such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

For me, Waveform has got a ways to go before it can function as a standalone DAW for myself. The best I've come up with is to track and mix in Reaper, and edit in Waveform and Audacity. I think Soundbridge has some promise. I think I've tried every daw except fruity loops at this point -Harisson mix bus -Haven't tried that. Maybe one or two more...musirafael wrote: Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:46 pm I concur. Ardour is very cool but it is really hard to master. Too many menus and choices. Waveform is so elegant -It's almost a dream come true. But, some of these silly things with the basic functions are really holding it back, unfortunately...jabe wrote: Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:48 pm I dumped Cubase years ago for being riddled with menus and menus within menus within menus. Cubase is silly -Even the $99 entry version has some pretty ridiculous restrictions. Not sure why anybody would pay for that -Maybe they're getting their money from 16 yr olds, or something... Ha!

I had a pretty nice correspondence with someone higher up at Traction recently, but who knows if anything will come of it. He was very receptive to what I had to say about the undo/ redo functions etc.AG1970 wrote: Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:42 pm I agree. This silence from the Waveform developers is worrying!
Who knows!
