Finally was able to get the Fender JM I’ve wanted for years, and I absolutely love it

For me it is the Roland Se-02 that i got for 300 usd used a few months ago and a brand new korg monologue black edition for 228 usd that just arrived today
So i am covered when it comes to mono synths now with little overlap in sound (Uno synth and the SE + Monologue).
It is the same mono combo i had before i sold all my hw a few years ago.

For 2022 these are my favorites that I'm still happy with
SOMA Pulsar23
Berlinger 2600
Korg opsix
Genelec 8020d
Genelec 7040a
OTO Boum
OTO Bim
Elektron Digitakt
Elektron Syntakt
Elektron Analog Heat
I went over budget but I couldn't pass up some exchange rate savings that happened earlier and before some prices jumped.

See if you can find an ExtBox for the SE-02. It completes it, even if it's a bit fiddly (and no MIDI ccs - it's pure analog).

Now you need to add more SE-02's for polyphony.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 5:36 pm For me it is the Roland Se-02 that i got for 300 usd used a few months ago and a brand new korg monologue black edition for 228 usd that just arrived today

I almost did this when it went on sale. I still haven't ruled it out for later. It wouldn't take up much space to have more.Uncle E wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:05 pmNow you need to add more SE-02's for polyphony.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 5:36 pm For me it is the Roland Se-02 that i got for 300 usd used a few months ago and a brand new korg monologue black edition for 228 usd that just arrived today

I have thought about getting extbox but they are hard to find or have a insane price.vitocorleone123 wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 6:39 pmNice.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 5:36 pm For me it is the Roland Se-02 that i got for 300 usd used a few months ago and a brand new korg monologue black edition for 228 usd that just arrived today

Bogner Ecstasy Blue pedal. It gives me the tone that I've only ever gotten out of one single amp, a mid-70's Marshall JMP that I'm pretty sure was modded.

A 6 or 8 voice SE-02 would be awesome and much cheaper than getting a trigon 6.

This thread needs more pics/eye candy

That's called a CODE/Omega 8 and it costs about twice as much as a Trigon!D-Fusion wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:38 pm A 6 or 8 voice SE-02 would be awesome and much cheaper than getting a trigon 6.
Logic Pro | LUNA Pro | OB-X8 | Prophet 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | TEO-5 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Minitaur | Deepmind 12D | Slim Phatty | TR-1000 | Analog RYTM mk2 | Digitakt 2 | TD-3 MO | TD-3 | Maschine+

That makes the se route cheap in comparison to both.

Yeah, I was lucky my wife picked one up for me a month or two after they first came out. Think the price was < $120. Of course, my used SE-02 cost me $400 back then (someone selling most of their gear to put a down payment on the upcoming Moog One... hope that worked out for them), so maybe it's a bit of a wash!D-Fusion wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:31 pmI have thought about getting extbox but they are hard to find or have a insane price.vitocorleone123 wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 6:39 pmNice.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 5:36 pm For me it is the Roland Se-02 that i got for 300 usd used a few months ago and a brand new korg monologue black edition for 228 usd that just arrived today

Definitely these two...
Buchla clone modules from Samodular: 208, 218, 291, 266, plus an o_C module in Buchla format. See my build thread.

Serge Soup Kitchen 1 from the early '90s.
