Our stuff still works with any MPE controller and covers pretty much most of MPE. The only thing missing at this point is the global channel for pitch slides on all notes.zerocrossing wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 3:00 pm Sadly, neither is MPE capable, which is a bit surprising to me, especially for U-He.
We have decide to do this in conjunction with CLAP and NoteExpressions. I think we're maybe one release away from 100% MPE compatibility, maybe even MPE+ (loving our Osmose!) for Hive. That is, the final CLAP version might actually be 100% MPE compatible.
We're also adding Release Velocity at some point. While not technically part of MPE, it sure is something a lot of MPE controllers support as well.

Hey man, all I said in my OP was that, to my ears, Dune 3 and Hive 2 sound nothing alike. That's all. If somebody wants to make a big to do about that, it's not my problem.

Good for other DAW's... it's already easy to use Release in Bitwig with u-he CLAP synthsUrs wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 4:36 pm

WRONG again — put the manual aside and try the DEMO
You can just as easily switch between any of those "CLEAN • NORMAL • DIRTY " engine types on any sound or preset

The distinction is a bit tricky, I suppose I meant filter models as opposed to types. The manual says of the synth engine:
CLEAN...............Wide oscillator detune, linear attack, exponential decay and release, perfectly linear i.e. non-distorting State Variable filter without oversampling. In filter modes Comb, Dissonant and Reverb, a dynamic limiter prevents build-up.
NORMAL..........Exponential oscillator detune law, s-curve envelope attack, short punchy decays, oversampled, self-oscillating Ladder filter with non-linear resonance. In filter modes Comb, Dissonant and Reverb, a dynamic limiter prevents build-up.
DIRTY.................Evenly-spaced oscillator detuning, exponential envelopes, oversampled self-oscillat- ing Steiner-Parker (Sallen-Key diode ring) filter... This filter is similar to the classic KorgTM MS-20, but unbuffered so that current from the second pole leaks back into the first pole. Very smooth when tamed, but can get very screamy and erratic! Adds distortion to filter modes Comb, Dissonant, Reverb and Sideband.

disclaimer: the only good u-he synth there is is Zebra (bazille is nice aswell but i mean, its a bit of a niche synth tbh) The others are rubbish, diva included (which i think personally speaking, sounds bad.). Wow big whoof you wanna fight about it?![]()

Hive 2 has a hidden Midi Table that provides an overview of 20 assigned slots at any one time and has a comprehensive CC controller system. Dune 3 is rather more conservative with just 7 and more limited on the CC side.

Here are the definitions.
Objective
1. (of a person or their judgment) not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts.
Subjective

But God bless this forum because you guys will twist definitions any way you can to suit your own purpose.

the rest of us learned the definitions you posted above, but whatever school intrancer went to, also seem to have messed up "obscure". i mean, why else would someone call the sem obscure?
