Yeah, the diagrams on the 266 are pretty iconic. I've seen people get them as tattoos. Buchla panel designs are unique and I also find them very compelling. A real treat to play these instruments.mothra wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 3:43 pmMan I am so tempted to get the 266 just to have the Buchla faceplate on it haha. I have the Sputnik West Coast Random Source, but for some reason, I really want that Tip Top/Buchla version that just came out..
HW purchase of the year?

I usually run in stereo though. The other side is a Fender Machete combo and extension cab.
no wonder my tinnitus bugs me. I'll reinstall the attenuators I think.

Not as exciting as synths or modules, but I was lucky enough to get an Overstayer Modular Channel 8755 DM which became my favorite piece of outboard ever. Both for recording and mixing.

Oh man, the Modular Channel is really special! I’m a big fan of Overstayer, in general. I’ll probably get one at some point.christian f. wrote: Tue Dec 20, 2022 4:50 am Not as exciting as synths or modules, but I was lucky enough to get an Overstayer Modular Channel 8755 DM which became my favorite piece of outboard ever. You can have people put down cheaper than that. For free nowadays here at least, dunno about Aussie. Certain provisos apply, sadly. I think it appropriate that cats cost more than people...there are far more of us, so we should be cheaper.BONES wrote: Tue Dec 20, 2022 2:35 am You can have animals put down for about $50, you know. Much cheaper and one cat is much the same as another. I wouldn't spend $8,000 on my own intestines, let alone a f**king cat's.

This was it for me I suppose, though the Swart Amp to go with it was pretty cool too.

Not exactly hardware of the year but definitely excellent service of the year. I ordered a soft case for my Uno Pro on Monday, from Italy, and it arrived this morning, in Sydney. Freight was expensive but when it comes with that level of service, I don't mind.

Right, because your cat understands that the torture you put it through is for its own good. It's not, it's for very strong, but purely selfish motives. And, to be clear, it's the same standard I would apply to myself. As of last year, we have voluntary euthanasia laws, which I intend to take full advantage of at the appropriate time. I watched my parents' slow decay and I see absolutely no point in hanging on for no reason.
