Logout from account in Waveform ?

As support does not react (maybe cause of festive days) I wonder if someone ever has comparable problems and knows some help.

After licensing waveform 12 on my pc after some attempts I am now on the road with my notebook and failed to license Waveform 12 after several attempts, re-install....

As support does not react I did some investigation and realized that I had installed and licensed some older versions (waveform 8 and 9) years ago with an old account. I must have chosen "stay logged in" so even after uninstalling the old version it automatically logs in with the old account and cant register waveform 12 from the new account.

Waveform 12 does not even show up in the download manager. There I found an option to log out but that does not change anything.

On Waveform 12 I did not find any option to logout and login with the new account.

Anyone knows how to logout there ? I am not sure if it will solve the problem but as long as there is no answer from Tracktion its the only approach I have.

This might not make a difference, but try going to Help and About and then choose the Unlock option to sign in with your new account details.

If not, is it possible you could use the old account instead? If it's an old email address can you sign on with it at the Tracktion website and change its related email address to your new one? Guessing a bit here.

Thanks for the suggestions, my problem is that the first thing simply is not possible for me. When I go to help/about or wherever it automatically has only the "unlock" option which is bound to the old email :(

Strangely in the download manager there is an option to logout but that dont help, in waveform I could not found any place to logout, only the "unlock" option evrywhere :shrug: .

Maybe I will try the option with changing the old account to the new one but I am not sure if this will be possible.....

Wonder how long it might take to get any info from the support......

I know its festive days but the answer should be easy I would suppose (if that is the bug at least....).

That does not work cause the second emailadress already exists.... :(

I had thought about unlockin offline, but as this needs an email to the support as well and they have not answered so far....... :shrug:

I did locate a file that contains my email address specifically for Waveform 12 Pro. It might be that you could edit that file to have your newer email address in it or perhaps delete it and re-authenticate your W12.

On Windows 10 it's at c:\users\tatanka\AppData\Roaming\Tracktion\Keyfiles\ and is called TracktionWaveform12Pro.tracktionkey

It might be worth taking a copy in case editing it goes wrong. You could just change the suffix a little so that Waveform ignore the copy.

Thanks a lot jabe :clap: :phew:

It does not work initially, I have to delete all the keyfiles (the old ones for 8 and 9) and all tracktion related, even Bioscape and so on, unsinstall evrything again and reinstall, but finally it worked and I got the option to login with my new email adress :phew:
