Have you tried it with drum sticks? I’m curious how it would hold up. I’ve always wanted to buy an Octapad but just don’t think the price makes sense all these years later. This makes sense to me considering all its uses.
There are a number of videos of people using sticks with the ERAE Touch. The company has promoted the concept in their own videos.
I’ve seen it on their site, which is why I was asking. Being able to use drum sticks and how it feels are separate things.

It feels great, although I'm not a drummer so I don't know how it's supposed to feel.

To beat a Seaboard is easy, it doesn‘t beat my LinnStrument though, but I can use it for so many different things… Its my third controller I can play as LinnStrumentalist. The other one is a Sensel, but that came a bunch of years earlier…

Yes, I tried with drum sticks, and it acts as expected. But I am not a drummer and I am not sure how well it would survive in a long run. It feels very sturdy and for sure, I would prefer it to an Octapad just for the programmability. If you would mainly play it with sticks I‘d go for it. If you hit it for long like your snare, I could imagine that the surface will be less smooth as it is now… If that matters? Only time will tell…

For me it was the Korg Wavestate. I ultimately also bought the Modwave and Opsix I was so impressed with the Wavestste. All three synths are wonderful!

The full set - nice. Did you see the Modwave thread in Instruments? Dan from Korg was saying about Modwave and Wavestate MS20+Polysix filters needing to attenuate the oscillator gain to enable the full resonance/drive and nastiness of those filters. I have Wavestate & Opsix and TBH I never knew about that, which is why I thought the filters weren't as good as they could be. Sorry if you already knew, just was very useful for me. Apparently Opsix can do it but doesn't have a dedicated gain control in the filter section. Looks like all the hw and plugins do it.
