Hi! I'm running Linux workstation with 4k monitor, KDE DE scaling 200% is in use.
As for Waveform itself, there isn't any problem - it can be scaled up to 200% also in settings. But as for other children window, there is a problem. They are not scaled. Say, look at the titles of open FXs (F-em and Surge) and or the Surge menu. I need to use a magnifier (literally!) to understand those controls and text.
Other plugins without own scaling also can not be "scaled-to-window" as expected.
Please, share your ideas how to resolve the problems.
BTW, Tracktion download manager has got the same problem.

Ok, Tracktiion keeps silent. Probably somebody could confirm the above problem do exist, and the root cause lays in the WF itself rather in my workstation configuration. Will anybody?

I run WF under Linux, but don't run plugins. Everything is fine so far.

It is interesting. Your question provoked me to try Wayland. The problem has gone. Still not sure any switch-related problems will occur.

In fact I have found the problem root. There is a setting with two option how x11 apps are scaled - see images attached. The first option keep scaling to apps themselves. Those apps (as, say, almost all WF-included plugins) don't know about scaling unfortunately.
So the second option is used - at this case everything Ok in terms of scaling. But another problems arises: the second way results in blurring. Another image is just an example - look at font rendering.
So, there isn't lucky in the world... As long as WF with all additions is unaware of system scaling, the problem on 4k monitors will exist.

Say under Reaper menu is shown as expected as well as Surge itself is freely resizable.Kott wrote: Wed Jan 04, 2023 7:35 am So the problem is the menu in Surge-XT and the titlebars?
Does Surge-XT menu scales correctly in other hosts?
