Brainwave frequency listing:

These can be incorporated into music with the use certain effects, although it's not really necessary if you want to achieve a psychedelic effect (do some research on tribal trance or shamanic drumming)...

Like others have said, I think music can help, but I don't think it will cure anything. Taking some time out to listen to some relaxing music will definately be more beneficial to your mind and body than most of the other stressful things we fill our days with.

I've been thinking of doing stuff like this myself - I think the most relaxing music is music that is slow, with long droney sounds. Actually, there's a book called "The Tao of Music" you might want to get. It's all about using music in tandem with therapy.

That site has a set of frequencies in the visual range that stimulate my defense mechanism :drunk:
Seriously, why is it they talk about audible frequencies, healing you, when the look and psycho coloring makes you want to puke.

Post

when you play the audio at specific frequency, what do you play? pure sine wave?

I think the 33 hz referred to is a binaural beat frequency. Binaural beats tend to entrain the brain which listens to them to their frequency "gap". 33hz is purported to relate numeralogically to Christ...

binaural beats to have a quite measurable effect when used as focussing or medatitive aides in the alpha, beta, delta and theta brainwave frequencies. I'm not sure about the numeralogical benefits of them...or their relationship to the Christ..

...and 98% seems...well...plucked out of the air??? What are the 2% which are not cured by this freq.?

...and binaural beats are usually made with pure sine tones

Healing is based on belief. Period.

If you believe that aspirin will cure your headache, then it will. If a witchdoctor of the 9th century took an aspirin, there would probably be no noticeable effect.
Why?
Because the belief behind the drug is not there. If else, explain the placebo effect. Mind=Body=Mind=Ad infinitum.

Hearing is an integral sense to all animals. To deny the benefits of hearing is to deny the benefits of life. Sound CAN/DOES heal. Unfortunately, we are visual based beings that rely mainly on visual stimulii.

If the pill we are taking doesn't look/smell/feel like aspirin, then it is not going to have the same effect as a pill of the same contituents that does look/smell/feel like aspirin.

This type of thing has been debated over ages, but as far as I'm concerned, body=mnid. body=miind. bdy=mmnid. bdoy=mnnnd. boudy=miend.
DAMN! I'm too :drunk: right now. :hihi:

(OR...at least I think I am )

But seriously, most things unbelievable, by most people, have been proven, scientifically. The aura, for example, has physical manifestations that are undeniable (yet at the same time, desputably unattributable [ie magnetic fields]).

Ok, I'm done

For now.....muwwwahahahahaha.....
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".
