Project vs Composer? Why do they use the same icon?

Hi,
I just noticed that Project Modular Area and Composer Modular Area have the same icons. When I click them, both take me to the same place. What are the differences here? What am I missing?
Happy New Year!

HAHAHA this is so way out of my league. I understand that all of this gives ML unimaginable power; I'm just curious how all of this power is translated into music making. What do you gain from this? Unique sounds? How does all this modular approach make your music "better"? What can I achieve from a sound perspective that is not doable in other DAWs? I would love to learn all that (any plans of making a beginner's tutorial series of videos?). I just don't see the point of all this power for someone like me who isn't an "engineer" and prefers to focus on the musicality rather than the "technical" aspects of music making.
I would love to hear some thoughts.

And if you're not interested in the modular composer, no prob, you can continue using MuLab 9 just like MuLab 8 and ignore the modulariy of the composer.

Another example of taking advantage of the modular composer is to use one composer for a collection of drum patterns, another one for basslines, etc. Splitting them up over separate composers could create new ways / vibes to compose music, more like using separate hardware devices.

I'll also drop an example:
When I'm working on a song, I work in 3 stages: arrangement, mixing and mastering.
When I'm done with arrangement, I render the tracks and put them in a new composer for mixing. Same goes for mastering.
In case I can't fix something I can always go back to the previous stage where I have more control.
And everything sits nicely in one project file.

Yes i also used it in a similar way already.
I understand that for some users the modular composer might feel a bit too techy at first but it can really be practical and inspirational in various musical workflows.

I'd love to see a video that explores this type of workflow.mutools wrote: Fri Jan 20, 2023 8:14 pm Yes i also used it in a similar way already.
