My favorite vowel filter is the "Talking Modulator" in MDE-X and MS-20 FX. It works well with saw waves and has a nice lofi quality. Flowtones by Toneboosters has an awesome formant filter that needs to be its own plugin!

also still looking for a good one.
maybe one day when i know reaktor inside out, i build it myself.
xfer tools got the vowel/formant from serum, this one is also nice.
i always but a bitchrusher but just samplerate modulation, works good.

The vowel formant filter in the filter section and the filter segment of its effects in Absynth 5 is incredible, especially at 100%. If I say much more I’d have to kill ya.

Where in Absynth would this vowel formant filter be? I found these filters:jancivil wrote: Mon Jan 09, 2023 7:34 pm The vowel formant filter in the filter section and the filter segment of its effects in Absynth 5 is incredible, especially at 100%. If I say much more I’d have to kill ya.

And only in Waveshape mode, you can select a morph wave, but I have not found a way to modulate it so it sounds like a vowel.
Care to share your approach? I'm super curious!

Would the Biovox tool in Izotope's VocalSynth fit the bill? I've only used the 'Breath' adjustment here, but I was very happy with the result.

A vowel has three band passes… You need a dedicated vowel filter like the Orb. Look up the resonances it needs…
