Audio Routing Question ....

I have Patchwork and Instacomposer working fine with multiple synths in Ableton Live, no problems. The thing I can't find, however, is explicit instructions on how to route audio from each synth to separate audio tracks in Ableton. Would someone kindly provide instructions, or a link would be nice.
Thank you.
Thank you.

If you use the synth version, you can use up to 7 stereo aux busses from PatchWork. To route each synth to a different output in PatchWork, select the appropriate channels (from 3 to 16 for aux busses) using the "Audio I/O" command in the plug-in slot menu for each synth.

Unfortunately, the Synth version doesn’t load in the most recent version of Live. Or, at least it’s not loading in mine, which could be totally on me. I’m thinking it could be compatibility issue with Live?

There is indeed an issue with the VST3 version in Live 11 (we are waiting for feedback from Ableton... Maybe you can report the issue to them to speed things up), but the VST version works fine, and is still recommend anyway as Live has some limitations regarding MIDI with VST3s.

Okay, I finally had time to sit down and experiment with this at great length today, and unfortunately, it doesn't work... or at least I can't get it to work. I done some fairly complicated I/O routing (both audio & midi) in my day, and I can't figure out how to route the output from Patchwork to separate tracks in Live.
I can route the various InstaComposer channels to separate synths in Patchwork (Synth version), and everything outputs to the track in Live where Patchwork is loaded; however, I need to route either audio or midi out from Patchwork to separate Tracks in Live. This is the part I'm having trouble with. I know fully well how to route midi and audio I/O within Live, but I cannot route separate channels from Patchwork into Live. I have read the manual, sifted through YouTube vids by the dozens this morning, and combed through Google searches as well. All I have learned as a result is that there are at least a few other people out there who can't figure this out either.
My primary reason for purchasing Patchwork was to be able to route audio (or midi) from the InstaComposer VST to individual tracks in Live, which I thought Patchwork accomplished because of Ableton Live's inability to do this natively.
So, I guess I need someone to step me through this like I'm a 3 grader. Everything I have tried to date has not worked. Any assistance or specific, detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay (the very last days of the year are usually pretty busy), please find below a short video that explains the process in details, if I have properly understood what you are trying to do:
For reference, from the Ableton Live manual:

Thank you for this video, it solved my issues. Amazingly straightforward when it is explained with an example. Patchwork now works perfectly for what I'm trying to accomplish. I have only one request for a future update, if possible. Can the outputs be numbered like in the example attachment?
Thank you again for your assistance.

It is indeed not rocket science, but every single DAW has its own way of routing multiple outputs.tonepot wrote: Wed Jan 04, 2023 5:21 pm Thank you for this video, it solved my issues. Appropriate naming is actually provided by PatchWork, but as you can see in the beginning of the video Ableton Live does not choose the appropriate I/O configuration for the plug-in (PatchWork also supports surround audio streams), that's why the naming is odd. Maybe when we find out how the VST3 version can be fixed it will be fixed too.
