Hello,
Diva comes across as a staple in the production world, everyone seems to love it and I can't find anything online that says 'don't buy this synth'. The only consistent negative I find is that it takes a lot of CPU.
If I was to ever buy it, now is the time as NI has it on sale for the lowest price I've seen.
I enjoy sound design, also produce at a solid intermediate level, and can afford it without worrying about it.
Please come out of the woodwork and give me any reason why you feel I shouldn't buy it.

Diva is a great synth, but it is probably the least used in my u-he synth collection. I find all of the others more versatile (especially Zebra and Hive). Diva is aimed at those who want realistic vintage sounds. That said, it is a staple for genres like EDM and Melodic Techno.

Diva is great and my most used synth. CPU thing might be about the settings also. Old machines might not handle divine and great quality settings.

I've got Diva recently and really like it. However, I cannot really see it becoming my main, go-to synth. Other synths like Zebra, Pigments etc. are much more versatile and imho some synths also have better ergonomics in using them / seeing what is going on (Vital, Pigments).
But that's what you get with virtual analog concept plugins. For my main synth, I prefer something that does not tie back to what analog is but is free to redefine what purely digital synths can do.

I don't feel any attachment towards any particular sound from any vintage synth; rather, it's quite annoying that a saw wave and a lpf 12db/oct. at 2000hz can sound widely different across 20 synths. This is the my main reason behind my general disinterest in all these "analog" stuff.
But I'd still say this though: if you like it and is hesitating, just buy it and stop wasting time pondering on some decision you'll likely change either way. You dont walk around the house with a hammer every day, and you might feel the hammer is annoying taking up space in your house. But that one time you need a hammer to fix a nail popping out, you'd be happy that you have one. Diva feels like this to me. I know under what circumstances Diva is a nice tool to use, but I also know that it's not a tool I use most of the time nor a tool I "need".

Came for the plugin advice, leaving with life advice. It all depends on what synths you already have and on your current budget balance.
+ do not forget about some of the difficulties and time to master a new instrument(if you really need it).
My choice was not in favor of Diva and I'm happy with it.

I don't have any strict analog modelling soft synths, though I guess Omnisphere/Keyscape has some capabilities for this. I mostly use Serum, Omnisphere, Keyscape, and recently got Pigments on BF.
Budget is not an issue, I'm just susceptible to deals if they're for the right stuff. This seems like a pretty good deal, and I don't have anything that fits the mould of Diva per se, so I wanted to see if anyone had any real negative feedback about it.

I love diva, but if you really want reasons not to buy it I'd say the UI is kinda dated compared to more modern u-he offerings like hive and repro. No mod matrix or drag and drop modulation assignments, instead you have this "modifications" section that requires a few drop down menus to do stuff that's done much more gracefully in hive.

IMHO You should buy at least TWO or THREE Divas and gift them to the needy as a penalty for posting this on U-He's server
