How do I send the same incoming MIDI data to several tracks simultaneously?

Let's say I have 4 different tracks in Waveform 11, and each track contains a different VSTi synth. I want to feed MIDI data from my external Yamaha SY77 hardware synth to each of those tracks simultaneously, and I want to do it conveniently. I want to play a key on my SY77 and hear all four VSTi synths playing that note simultaneously in parallel.

It's a very simple task, but Waveform doesn't make it simple to implement, because when I assign the MIDI port associated with my SY77 to the input of Track 1, that MIDI port is no longer available to assign to the other channel inputs. :(

What is the best and most straightforward way to have synths on different tracks simultaneously playing the same incoming MIDI stream in parallel? :help:

Create virtual MIDI instruments, and assign the associated device to the SY77. Call them Virt1, Virt2, Yamaha3, whatever . Then you can use virtual 1, 2, 3 in addition to the original.

What this ALSO enables is the capability of split/layering or handling of Pads. In each virtual (and the original) you can allow only one midi channel through. So if you can assign, say, pads or a range of keys (keyboard split) from the Yamaha to different midi channels, you can then select the input device to be, say, Yamaha 3 being the Yamaha with ONLY channel 3 being recognized... Most useful if you have a keyboard with pads. Or track-like capabilities like the SY77.

Or you can do it in a rack.

Or, in settings/general, allow inputs to multiple tracks. I don't like this one, as I prefer the device to be UNASSIGNED from the previous track automatically when I assign a new one, but to each his own...

One of the methods:
In Waveform, the Aux Send/Aux Return utilities work for midi as well. This is a very fast way to send midi from one track to another. I do not remember if these utilities are open in the Free version or not.

Settings -> General -> Track Inputs -> Allow inputs to appear on multiple tracks
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Thank you. That was exactly what I wanted!

I thought I had looked through all the options, but I still managed to overlook that somehow.
