Half of Komplete is compatible. The last two products that are not Apple silicon are Battery and Reaktor. Battery is going to be soon, then it’s Reaktor, and updating library/rompler type devices.

Battery 4 Version 4.3.0 is out and Native Silicon compliant.

Yep but be careful : there is a bug somewhere and the AU version is not properly replaced when updating with native access. You need to remove the AU version from the component folder and then update.
If not, the AU plugin is not apple silicon native even if marked as 4.3 version (check the activity monitor when used in a session and verify it by . It’s a strange bug but it’s real...

Are you sure this isn't the "standard requirement" to either restart your machine or run "killall -9 AudioComponentRegistrar" in the terminal post installation to ensure the catalog of components is updated before launching your DAW?

I've seen somewhere that this should no longer be required for AS native plugins? But yeah, I had to do it post Battery installation to get the native version to show.

I wonder why people use Mac computers. There always seem to be problems with them.

It's ok, if you're happy on your PC, you don't need to understand why people choose something different to what you like. It doesn't affect you.

Funny, that's my perception (and recollection) of life on the PC. It's a good job our perceptions don't necessarily match objective reality. Some people's computers work fine for them, some give no end of problems. And some people know expertly how to run their computers, and some do very strange things without understanding what they are doing. These things not limited to a single platform.

I think problems are more a NI thing.
I never had this issue with any of the hundred plugins I use daily.
And by the way I don't think it's very interesting to start the 158 235th Mac/PC bikering in this thread...

Strange. I can’t remember the last problem I’ve had with my M1 Mac Mini. I’m always 1 version behind current on OS installations, though. Other folk can be the Guinea pigs.

One thing that I do a lot on Mac is rename and move files while I have them open and I’ve never been able to do that on my version of windows. I don’t know if it’s a limitation of the file structure on Windows that prevents that or what.

Does windows still use a registry? That’s another thing I like. I can just delete a program and it’s gone. At least there’s no chance my system will become unstable by incorrectly editing the reg. There are free utilities like PKG uninstaller that read the pkg file lists and completely remove everything.

Battery is vst3 :tu:

Hi just want to chime in, downloaded the update yesterday and on vst2 the loading of the battery kits is suddenly lightning fast on my windows/reaper install.
And I've got tons of presets including 3rd party stuff.
People who experienced slow loading times should try the update.
Now why did it take NI years to address this? :bang:

Oh! What exactly does that mean though, I have some kits in Battery format. Will they not work now? Why would they do this? :?

EvilDragon wrote: Wed Dec 08, 2021 6:20 pm Of COURSE you can still use your own samples. 3rd party format import means stuff from other samplers (hardware or software).
So it's nothing to do with our Battery kits, it's the other sample formats that not supported any more? My battery kits will still work? If so, they really could have been clearer on that. Especially considering the way massive x went with regards to us third party sound designers - making it difficult to use our sound banks! :?

These formats are not supported anymore.
I guess for some people that might be removing a large feature. Not something I use, but that is a "downgrade", surely!
