I believe Hive was used on Matrix Resurrections.tony10000 wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 11:33 pmHas he ever used Hive or any other u-he synth besides Zebra/HZ?
I Have Zebra, do I need Diva, or Hive?

I have all three and Hive is my favorite due to Hive's work flow. It is incredibly simple, but also incredibly deep. You can do so much more with it than you would ever think. Look at the preset packs from UHe and be blown away
Seriously learned a ton redoing my favorite patches in Hive.

Bitwig is my DAWs and UHe and Tracktion Synths are my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!

Guess OP has made their choice already, but just felt like writing, so...
I picked up Hive 2 last month in the NI sale over Zebra Legacy, especially since Zebra is a bit more complicated for me and I have never owned it before and also because Zebra Legacy is here to stay for the same price and I could buy it in future if needed. I have owned Hive 2 in the past and sold it as I found it a bit intimidating that time, but decided to give it another go due to the NI sale. Also, while Zebra could do anything, IMO Hive 2 has a slight edge over it for being a bit more versatile and modern sounding and simpler/faster in terms of workflow.
I see it this way: If you want Zebra, you need to be sure about it to buy it. If you are not sure, go for Hive 2.
If you want both right now, the NI sale makes it a great deal, especially for Hive 2. Else only get Hive 2 now and Zebra Legacy in the future if needed.

Hive is definitely the right choice
https://u-he.com/products/soundsets/hiv ... etaphorium
It features heavily in the Matrix Resurrections score, there's even a soundset available:

I picked up Hive on this sale. I am very impressed by it so far. My main reasons was I wanted something modern sounding, low on CPU, easier to work with, and a better sound engine than what I already have.
all the best

I think having all 3 makes it a win but to tell you the truth Hive 2 and Zebra compliments each other very well and you can skip Diva. Simply because you can do alot of stuff with Hive that Diva can, Hive 2 can do analog emulations very well. In fact Hive 2 imo is the strongest feature-sound quality wise from all 3 of synths.

I have a post where I traded Hive for Dune 2 awhile back because I was new and didn't know how to fit the giant sounds of Hive into the mix, so to speak. I said that I would be back. Think Urs would welcome me back?LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 7:43 am Guess OP has made their choice already, but just felt like writing, so...
