How to delete cleanly without smoothing?

I'm trying Acoustica and it seems to do some smoothing when deleting or cutting audio.

Is there a way to disable this behavior?

Yes, you can disable "Automatic Splice De-click" in the Edit menu.

For some reason I never expected that option to be there. I looked into preferences or some icon in the toolbar. I also tried with key modifiers (alt, etc).
