Repro 1 Can You "Set" Mod-Wheel Like in Repro 5?

The mod wheel plays a rather crucial aspect in modulation in Repro 1 as half the modulation settings are set via direct and half are via mod wheel

Often times i want to use both for my patch rather than having a "moving" mod wheel.. this is possible in Repro-5 via the two little sliders that set the mod wheel range.. however I see nothing like this in Repro 1.. leaving it very difficult for me to save a preset thats dependent on any precise modulation controlled via a mod wheel setting..

Like I just want to be able to set the mod wheel to modulation strength like a "knob" for my patch rather than as some performance thing thats entirely hooked to my midi keyboard at whatever point in time.. especially if its something really precisely set like FM amount

Any tips? I see nothing in the manual about this that I can tell.. Thanks :)

I think it's common for most u-he synth that the mod wheel position is neither stored in a preset nor in the DAW project.

So all you can do (Urs correct me if i'm wrong) is to record the wheel position via the midi track.

Or you ignore the wheel and use the "direct" switch. So you have a fixed amount of modulation.

try to route the modwheel via the modmatrix aka "perform"
source: "mod wheel", dest: "as you wish" and the knob gives you strength

loosing a modmatrix slot though...
