Some weeks ago I decided to reopen and edit all my old projects I've since 2002, when I used mainly VST synths and Fruity Loops / FL Studio.
Installed Windows via Bootcamp on an old Mac that I've, set back Fruity Loops, and slowly opening all the projects and check for the missing plugins to reinstall them (I've a lot of freeware plugins saved on CD/DVD that can't be found anymore on the web, a treasure trove!)
What I've noticed, and I don't remeber at all, is that some projects, especially around 2004, when opening, they are searching for plugins with an added (z) at the end of the fruity wrapper name.
EG: "RGC Audio Triangle II" became "RGC Audio Triangle II (z)".
I can have RGC Audio Triangle II installed, but it is not the same plugin as RGC Audio Triangle II (z), it is considered like something else and the project take it as a missing plugin.
I don't remember if it was a wrapper for 32 to 64 bit plugins, or some rubbish plugin scan I've installed at that time.
I remember Novation Automap did something like that, renaming and duplicating plugins, but it was around 2012-2013 as far as I remember, and sure without that "(z)".
If any KVR veteran remember that kind of thing and can help me, would be very appreciated!
Thank you!
