Hello
I see when press alt on a note and click. it play the note . but when transpose (by press and hold mouse button) a note for example for slice then later can not alt press to hear the note
other daw have a setting for always play the note when transpose it. maybe mulab can get such a feature too ? I think this is very important

Very strange but a good "audion feature" in MULAB is missing compared to many other DAW´s, even the free ones. In these DAW´s you not even have to click something: When moving a note with the mouse (transposing) you can hear the new note. This is imporant for example if you try to optimize a bass- or a lead line easily. Therefore often tried to change my DAW but with no success:
Mulab is the best in uncluttered interface, stability and so on.

+1
I also miss this A LOT.
You really should preview a note while moving WITHOUT pressing anything. It's something quite normal in other DAWs.
Please add this tiny thing also in MuLab.
Thanks

Btw, You should preview all selected notes which start at the same time than the note used for dragging, not just one. So you can also preview chords and stuff.
Of course when only one note is selected only this one shall sound on moving.
Each change shall play the note(s) shortly (eventually not taking into account the real note length).

I found out that many users really appreciate that MuLab is "different than other DAW's". That makes me wonder.. why ask for features that would make MuLab "the same like other DAW's" ?

P.S. My main DAW is "the other DAW", but I love MuLab Plugin

@Masterjoe: Agreed 100%. This behavior can be tested in the Auxy App (iOS), free in the main version. Regarding chords: If you want to move the whole chord, you have to select the chord, and then each time you move it the chord it is sounding. If you want to change just 1 note of the chord, the whole new chord is sounding with each movement, which is unique, if I´m right.
This audition feature is more important in my opinion than vst3 implementation, which maybe is costly for the developer but has a workaround with the free vst3shell.

Well, I believe some features are really essential for ANY DAW - no matter how unique it is. So I believe such requests express the need for fundamental features which are required, not optional.robert_p wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 9:05 am I found out that many users really appreciate that MuLab is "different than other DAW's". I agree with that, but for me the list of that fundamental and required features is that long that I don't believe it could be implemented in MuLab in the next 10 years - I use "the other DAW" and I'm happy with what MuLab plugin adds to my setupmasterjoe wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 9:43 am Well, I believe some features are really essential for ANY DAW - no matter how unique it is. i understand play sound every step move can be nasty. so my idea is play only when move the note and during move the note(hold left mouse button down) when alt is press it play note. so thats not what other daw do. i think it not so much work to addrobert_p wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 9:05 am I found out that many users really appreciate that MuLab is "different than other DAW's". I have currently not buy mulab test from time to time new versions. i missed it since longer time and i have written years ago. because of live grid i am intresting now to buy mulab. so i ask again. it is a really small thing but for me important. when this work mulab is good for me as DAW because i think the live grid is much better as the ableton live or bitwig because there can see notes and play cursor.

I would add an icon which looks like a speaker and that one is the option to preview every note on every move.
This way you can disable or enable this feature when you need to.

@mutools
What do you think . Can you add this important feature soon 1 week - 1 month ? . My guess it is not much work to program or i am wrong ?
It is also usefull when use velocity sensitive real drums. snare and kick sound change alot when change velocity. so it is also usefull to hear note when change the velocity level

Yes, not only shall note movements trigger the preview but also ALL parameters associated with notes. This is not only velocity but also MIDI controller changes or automation value changes. So everything at a given moment in time that is associated with one or more notes shall trigger all notes at that moment in time.
Only this way you have a complete preview of what is happening when you change something.
Hope to see this soon

Since we don't have that function, I guess there can be some issues with regards to the framework used for coding MuLab, i.e. triggering note events when dragging in the UI. One thing that might be easier to implement, and which to me at least would be more welcome, is a checkbox "Snap to scale". This is also available in (some) other DAWs: Set C/Am as scale, and all the "black notes on the keyboard" are skipped when transposing. To me, this would be very handy. I quite often transpose a few bars of MIDI events, but if I'm far away from the piano keyboard on the left of the screen, it is difficult to see whether I released the notes correctly or if I'm a semitone off.
As I said, I assume this is much easier to implement, as it's just a UI+logic thing, not messing with frameworks and their way of handling audio.

I recognize this 'monitor notes while being dragged' feature has been requested multiple times so i'll take that into account. Can't comment on when it will be implemented, several other works are already planned.
About support for note scales: Yes that's on the wishlist too.
