I never really understood why companies would sell their stuff so overpriced (my opinion of course). I think if they'd sell it for 79$ or even 99$ they'd sell so much more, compared to the amount they sell now for those 149$. Plugin Alliance and Waves really got that and are drowning in cash.

I cant speak of their worth as I haven't tried them as I also think they are too expensive for 'more Omnisphere patches',Introspective wrote: Wed Dec 29, 2021 2:59 pm <my_opinion people_who_care="[]">

I think 40 each all 3 for 99 seem more realistic....they may have even made more money with that sort of pricing as more of us buy in at that level.
$150 to add more pre-sets (more samples) to an instrument- you could buy Spire, Pigments or Rapid, for that. For the cost of 2 packs you can buy Falcon, Avenger or even V Collection!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

So... 2023 is definitely gonna be the year for Stylus RMX2.
I know I said this in 2022... and 2021... and 2020... but *this time*, *2023*. Yup. Calling it. For real.
(See you all again this time next year...)

It's a nailbiting race between the Stylus RMX replacement and climate extinction.

I think you are under estimating the amount of work that went in to these extensions:SLiC wrote: Wed Dec 29, 2021 3:36 pmI think 40 each all 3 for 99 seem more realistic....they may have even made more money with that sort of pricing as more of us buy in at that level.

Pfff, welcome late comer! I was saying 2015 would be the year of Stylus RMX 2. Given or take 5 years.beely wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 1:45 pm So... 2023 is definitely gonna be the year for Stylus RMX2.

That has nothing to do with the build cost, that is the same if you sell one or a million...lower price 'may' get you mass market, if you sell 1000 @ $100 = $10 000 or 5 000 at $40 = $20 000 = cost lowered, profit doubled (this model works with software where is is almost no cost per unit after development, hence all the no brainer sales from IK et al...LFO8 wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 3:53 pmI think you are under estimating the amount of work that went in to these extensions:SLiC wrote: Wed Dec 29, 2021 3:36 pmI think 40 each all 3 for 99 seem more realistic....they may have even made more money with that sort of pricing as more of us buy in at that level.
Case in point, I own Omni, Keyscape and Trillian and have a pretty healthy studio budget...but I dint buy them...there is a price pint where I would be tempted, until then they are just leaving money on the table.

I lost any respect for Spectrasonics when they threw Omni 1 users under the bus when Omni 2 came out and was told have to pay full price for the upgrade. so, basically they are asking me to pay $600.00 total for this software.

There's still an upgrade, according to their FAQ.
Following the link they give, upgrade price is half the full priceIf I already own Omnisphere, is there an Upgrade to Omnisphere 2?
Yes! If you already are an Omnisphere customer, you are eligible for the Omnisphere 2 Upgrade - available now in the Webstore/Techshop.
https://www.spectrasonics.net/sales/tec ... ucts_id=28
and its available at retailers as well.
