I have no idea what to do with this loooong textfile representing a wotja mix......copy in a normal text editor ? Save as text file ? Does it need any special extension to be opened in Wotja ? Or is there a paste function directly in Wotja ? Short description would be really helpful.

EDIT: got it, there is a way to paste directly into Wotja and seems to work:

File > New > Mix > From Clipboard

If you know more places who share mixes would be really interested, especially for the new W23 stuff just to get a better impression of whats possible with it.

One of the very nice things about Wotja is that you can share mixes as plain text!

Most mixes are very small - those with embedded sample data are larger, of course...

I don't know when it happened (maybe two months ago?), but I'm no longer able to access the Microsoft Store and I've attempted NUMEROUS fixes. Is there another way to acquire Wotja 23?

They are store based only. It's been explained already, but that was their decision. It's a very small company with only two folks trying to run everything, from design, development, marketing, and sales.

Keep working on the MS store fix, as that's going to be the only way...

That link is about fixing problems with the Microsoft Store and its apps. The problem is I can't get INTO the Microsoft Store in the first place. As soon as I launch the app on my computer, it immediately shuts down. From what I've been reading on the internet, I have to reinstall Windows 11. Just to get Microsoft Store working to d/l one app? I don't think so. I really have no use for the Microsoft Store anyway.

Aha! Right; I myself have faced that on at least one machine, last year. It was a virtual machine as it happens. I've had a dig around, and I found quite a few pages documenting different solutions.

Most of the instructions there are ones I feel I recognise from when I ran through the process of getting it all working. I certainly did *not* need to reinstall Windows 11 to get it working...

Yes, it is a pain that this sort of problem exists for some systems.

I hope this helps, but I appreciate you might not feel it is worth the effort.

If you have some other device (e.g. Android, iPad/iPhone), hopefully you can use Wotja on one of those other platforms instead (or as well, if you can get the Windows Store working on your machine!).

Hi!

For many years now we've released annual updates; where the previous year versions keep on working; so it is very much up to each customer to decide if they want to upgrade to a new binary, or not.

If we don't managed to make the new annual version interesting enough, people won't upgrade

The app stores we rely on don't offer "upgrade" pricing routes, which is a pain, but that is out of our control.

Wotja 23 offers a one-off purchase to unlock the Pro feature set for 2023. That should keep working for as long as you want, whether or not you choose to get Wotja 24 or beyond!

Subscribers get rolling updates, so they're always up-to-date

NEW: 'Featuregrade' Business Model meaning that Wotja will now get rolling updates, instead of (as planned at W23 launch) being removed from sale at the end of the year to be replaced with the next major version.
NEW: Two 'Play' FS (Feature Set) options in the In-App Store - 'PUN: 23 Play' and 'SUB: Play' - for those who just want to use Wotja as a player of relaxing ambient generative music.
NEW: TJ (Tip Jar) Tip T1 now unlocks 'Play' mode (TJ Tips T2-T5 continue to unlock 'Pro' mode as before).
NEW: Document > Delete alert "Are you sure?".
NEW: 'Reset Settings' option at the bottom of Settings > General to allow all Wotja-related settings to be set to defaults.

In the process of purchasing Wotja 23 but the price is $49.95 not $39.95.
Ok, reread the thread, got it, the sale ends on the 14th not the 15th.
I tried to buy it last week but could not buy it without first downloading first it seemed.
I did not have the time for download and set up.
Even now, right now to purchase Wotja 23 is not an easy task.
So now that Wotja is at full price I will again abandon the purchase and try again at a later date when I have the time to follow the purchase instructions.

Edit: I was almost there so I got it!

Edit 2: I got V23.1.0 not 23.2.0.
Perhaps being on Windows 10 was the issue?
Should have waited for the new version!
